Bz 1654: Watching a Game Won't Allow Toggle of Pitch-by-Pitch/One-Pitch Mode or Some PbP Speeds

In order to answer Nutlaw's query in another thread, I had to open my game and try to play out a game not involving my team. (I am in commissioner mode.) The schedule screen claims that I can, since every game listed gave me the choice of watching or managing, but when I hit 'manage', I got stuck watching the game play out… painfully slowly.

The option to switch to pitch-by-pitch mode appeared with every pitch thrown, which is odd, considering that it was already in pitch-by-pitch mode. Shouldn't it have been offering the option to switch to single-pitch mode? As it happens it wouldn't've made any difference, since clicking on that had no effect.

And this relates to a thread I started on the topic of overflowing the screen, because the buttons to skip innings and so forth were off the bottom of the screen (I assume, since I couldn't see them).

And, whilst the speeding up of the play-by-play by selecting 'instant' worked, selecting 'minimum' (or 'simple', or whatever it's called) did not. I still got the verbose PBP, though when I've tried that in my own games (which the computer WILL let me manage) it worked perfectly well.

The only way to 'manage' a game in commissioner mode is to manually select yourself in the drop down boxes for controlling strategy (pitching, hitting, substitutions and one other) that appear in the top left corner when you click 'manage'

This issue has been claimed fixed for the upcoming patch. If after installing it you still experience this problem, please post a link to this thread in Tech Support along with an explanation of what happened so that we can re-open the report. Thanks!
