Waivers and Minor League FA

All,

Great game - just purchased today. A couple of quick questions though:

where are waivers? I cannot even find how to turn on/off this option and cannot find under transactions. Any help is appreciated it.

Also, what is the number of years before a player in the minors can be a FA? I know this is set as no minor league FA as a default, but what is the realistic option for this?

Any other options that should be altered in game set up to make the game as realisitc as possible?

Waivers would be under Rules, but only available if you use 40-man rosters (or whatever you choose to set the # of players on the secondary roster to.)

Minor free agency is six years in real life.

Thank you for your quick response. However, when i look at the 40 man rosters, i noticed they are all empty (0 out of 40). Did i not set it up properly?

To run a very realistic league, what other settings need to be changed?

The game as it comes out of the box is set to the modern game for financials, rules and statistics with the exception of the pitchers endurance setting which from what I have read should be set to low from very low and schedules which you will want to import from the schedules folder instead of letting the game generate one.

I am sure there are other problems but off the top of my head I dont remember what they are.

So why does no team have there 40 man rosters populated (0/40 in the transactions screen)?

I did miss a feature in the game set up

If you progress past the preseason, the teams will fill up the 40 man.

I personally use a 45 man roster since the AI is pretty terrible with roster management. They put way too many good players on the waiver wire.
