I can have Shaughnessey Playoffs now. The top four teams can go into the playoffs with the pennant winner seeded first and plays the four seed and number two plays number three.
I thought Shaughnessey was 1 vs 3 and 2 vs 4?

I use Mac, and didn't import a league from ver.8, but has so many crashes so far.

However, I am positive about this new version as a whole, assuming that the next patch will fix many of the problems with the Mac version.

Improved sim speed for the Mac version would be big enough a reason for me to buy the ver.9.

The game may be worth it. The support probably isn't. Unless your part of the "in" crowd around here, chances are your questions will go unanswered.

Personally,I have to disagree with you.I would not consider myself part of the "in" crowd and have had all of my questions(even the stupid ones) answered.Right now though things seem a little off kilter.Markus is on vacation and Tech support is being bombarded with problems. The only problem is the apparant poor state the game was released in.It probably needed another month in the oven

I only have a handful of posts, so I'm clearly not part of any "in crowd". I have no complaints about the support this game gets or the way questions are answered.

OOTP 06 was never fixed it was a failure from the get-go. for me ootp07 was and still is the best upgrade/release ever. not saying 09 wont be fixed but if history repeats itself...

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Actually, I am going to go out on a limb, and predict this to be the last version of OOTP for mac. It is obvious it was not considered to be a high priority this year, and consequently I feel Markus & Co may just decide to scrap it for the future.

You're 100% wrong here. It has the same priority, and during beta testing there weren't problems. We're working on it of course, and I expect patch 2 to fix all Mac issues.

This was the most stable and bug-free release of OOTP ever.

If so, I would just keep on playing OOTP9 (latest version) , even though I really wish you are wrong.

Markus, it is so cool that you came in here so quickly to say what you just said!

You know, it's not necessarily A--Kissing when you are stating an opinion, and it happens to be complimentary. Nor is it A--Kicking to state a negative opinion or even complain in a constructive manner. It depends on how and why it's delivered, whether it resembles reality at all, and whether you have anything to back it up.

Zing 'em once in a while, like I do. In between love fests, of course.

Not in the Southern Association and the Minor Leagues in the 50's.

#1 plays #4 to give them something for winning the regular season. Also #1 and #2 get the home field advantage.

Sorry, there is no "In Crowd" that I know of.

I have been on the Beta Team for three years and I don't see Markus playing any favorites.

I know I don't get all of my many questions answered by him and understand the reason why -- He doesn't have the time to do it. There is no way Markus can code the game and read all of the posts and questions here on all of the OOTPB Forums.

We are really fortunate that the game designer shows up as much on the Forums as he does.
