Back-to-back starts with no fatigue penalty

Had a starter throw 112 pitches one day. Next day another pitcher was eligible to come off DL. Brought him off, had my manager reshuffle rotation, played next game and he started the same guy from yesterday. Game showed his status as "OK" even though he had thrown 112 yesterday.

Ok disregard. In the first inning he tired. I was just surprised the manager would start him and it did show "ok" in pregame status. I guess it still could be a bug in that he started him, but at least he was properly worn down as soon as he started pitching in the game.

No kidding - old school-style!

He actually went three innings. I didn't want to pull him without pinch hitting for him. He was exhausted but he pitched pretty well.

are you using the unpatched, default MLB setup?

I just got the game today, so I didn't have to patch it. I am using the default MLB with real-life rosters, though.

FYI Adam Harang was the juggernaut in this scenario.

I am finding that the PITCH HIGHEST RESTED STARTER setting is not working properly. Perhaps when you reshuffled, your pitcher was put into the next slot (ie from #3 to #4). I played with the real ML schedule as the Red Sox. They played two games (in Japan in real life) about 10 days before their next scheduled game. On the 3rd game of the season (although everybody was fully rested) the AI put my #3 in to pitch.

You are right.

When you ask the manager to set your rotation he does not take in to account the level of tiredness of the pitchers. So, if Harang just pitched, you activated a pitcher the manager felt should be higher up in the rotation then the game pushed everyone down a slot and Harang had to pitch again.

I don't think anything is going to get changed with how this works.

So basically, the used highest rested started function is not working at all??? I would think that this would be a key fix.

No it should be working for that...I was assuming this person had it on straight rotation.

In my scenario, Dice-K pitched for Boston on March 25th (2 game series in Japan). Game 3 of the season was April 1st (6 days of rest). Dice-K and game 2 starter Jon Lester were both fully rested, but the AI went to the #3 starter. Double checked and Start highest rested starter was on.

Perhaps somebody else that was using the in game MLB schedule can check to see if Boston or Oakland used their #3 starter when #1 was fully rested.

When you write fully rested, you mean that they were displayed as Rest Status: 100% - Rested?
