Importing OOTP8 help!!

Im narly 2 seasons in of playing every game in the last version. I went to import it and went to the save game. "new game.lg" i clicked on it expecting it to work and it just opened up what was inside. Can someone please tell me how I do it, cheers.

Did you let it import completly? It takes a bit of time, depending on league size.

Not sure what you mean by "it just opened what was inside".

Can you explain, step by step what you did?

I didn't get the green light to import and it went into all the dat files behind the .lg. Didn't know which one to click on. Should it not just be the .lg file?

When importing a league from OOTP 2007 or OOTP 8, read along the top of the window that opens. It tells you which file to select, in this case you select the "World.dat" file.

It will take a little time, as previously mentioned, based upon the size of the league you are converting.

Nearly there!, now it seems to be taking too long and hanging!, I read somewhere that it would take time, but not to press the button twice?, would that be right?
