Removing players from 40-man roster
Hi,
How can I remove players from the 40 man roster without releasing them? I didn't see any info about this in the manual. Thanks. |

Waive and designate for assignement. You risk to loose them, I'm not sure if the action is irrevocable or not.

To expand upon the answers...
If a player does not have a Major League contract, you can remove them from the 40-man without a problem. If they do have a big league deal, they'll need to pass through waivers (so other teams can claim 'em) and be designated for assignment (where they essentially go home for X number of days (X being whatever the DFA time is set for in your league). If you have the waiver and DFA rules turned off, like I usually do, they either have to accept a deal to the minors or you have to cut them, IIRC. |
