Hey thanks JGross68 an AngelinOF.
I will look into those Diamondbacks records. Also, I will go with Walton's because I am trying to stick with the modern day records, post 1900. Thanks again guys.

well the 15th is more giving myself time to do the pitchers and if I have the chance add more prospects. The pitchers take longer than the hitters to rate correctly. I'm doing pitcher ratings now, but there are more to add and they take longer.
If I finish the pitchers but don't have enough time to really add the next wave of extra prospects in detail, I will add those extra guys with base ratings, then upload csv files with more accurate ratings when I get to them so guys can update the roster file. It depends on time. But as long as I get the pitchers done by the 15th there will be a release. GH |

GForce....
Are you planning on making any changes to team market size and/or fan loyalty for version 2? I just thought, if you were, I would like to use those settings for my fan interest testing.

actually I was waiting to see what those of you focusing on this were doing. I'll definitely adjust team markets though, because my breakdown last time was silly. Haven't done it yet though.

RDizzle,
I just meant that the way I broke down the team markets was stupid. There is no MLB team in a "nonexistent" market. I rushed through it and didn't think it out. It'll be fixed for the opening day set. As an aside guys, I just went through and updated a lot of pitchers with ratings that were too poor, mostly guys who spent most of their time last year in the minors but played in the majors also. Their age in the minors was penalizing them too much as a result of an error in my formulas. I should have fixed most of them. GH |

The added pitching prospect ratings for the NL East and Central have been completed.
Hopefully the pitching prospects will all be entered by Monday or Tuesday, which will wrap up the Top 30 prospect entries. Also, I have compiled the list of "added" prospects I want in the game. I am not going to be using AAA and AA filler prospects. That serves no purpose in my eyes when you're looking to go into the future with the game. Basically, the added prospects I will be using are identified in the Baseball America Prospect Handbook. This year, they included minor league depth charts, giving not only the top 30 prospects and where they fit in, but about 20-25 added prospects and how they fit onto the totem pole. These guys will also be included. However, due to time, they may be a patch of sorts. What will happen is I will get all of their names, birthdays, positions, etc. into the game for the Opening Day set release. But I probably will not have time to run their stats through my formulas to get ratings. So what will happen is I will be posting updated csv files for import every day or two on my Web site. You can download them and the ratings adjustments, then go into the league you've begun and import the csv files, which will bring their ratings exactly as they should be. This way your league can have all the prospects you could possibly want, get going and be updated without needing to restart the league or wait for another full version. All players to be in TotalMinors will be in the Opening Day set. So the csv import won't change anything. I would still recommend you back up your leagues though, a safe measure just in case. target by the end of the weekend: 25-man rosters done and DL lists accurate for all teams Transactions updated to Opening Day (as such, Easley will still be with Detroit, for example) the expected release date is still around April 15. It could be that Sunday night (the 13th I think) or at latest April 20. But I'm moving ok right now so I don't see any reason to push it back at this point. GH |

Gregg shouldn't Easley be a free agent then as he did not make the Tigers Opening Day roster.

I found stats errors for two FA pitchers:
Scott Eyre has 253 HP for 2002 while he should have 0. I realized that after he hit three guys in a row Chuck Finley, same problem, 209 HP in 2002. He should have only 1. -- Roman |

Looking at the HP leaders in my league, I found two more pitchers with the same problem:
Ismael Valdes (TEX) 253HP he should have 9. Pete Walker (TOR) 196HP he should have 3. -- Roman

ok, another update, recently completed stuff:
All pitching rotations accurate all transactions made up to opening day team markets adjusted pitching ratings developed with my formulas for all top 30 pitching prospects not covered in v 1.1. The ratings will be imported sometime tomorrow. 25 Man Rosters & Disabled lists with accurate times remaining still to do: more added prospects accurate lineups/depth charts moving minor leaguers to correct levels ratings tweaks/touch-ups as many eligible players for the 2003 draft as I have time to enter. Barring setbacks this week, I hope to get as many as 200 guys I have info for into the game for the draft. as of now, we are still good for an April 15 release. Productive weekend. Thanks for the continued support. GH Last edited by GForce22; 04-07-2003 at 12:01 AM. |
