How do you get rid of a person's nickname?

Tons of people in the MLB rosters have a nickname of Null... and its not letting me delete it... no matter what I try at least the N stays there...

God this roster is a mess

Did you not know that Null is a very popular nickname in baseball?

If you give them a random nickname and then remove it does that work? Sorry I don't have the game open right now to try it.

are you playing with historicals or the current roster set? did you import from another version?

Edit: No once you enter any kind of nickname, you are stuck with the first letter

Anyway we could get this as a League option- to disable player nicknames?

I've seen this problem too with OOTP8 when importing a OOTP7 or 6.5 historical league.
