Entergy Park - New Orleans: for asaintsfan
In a previous post, asaintsfan asked for a ballpark with the Superdome in the background. I normally try to keep the city backgrounds somewhat generic-looking so they can be used for any city - however, I decided to give his request for a specific location a try. The result is Entergy Park - named for the large Fortune 500 energy corporation based in New Orleans. It is a retractable-roofed park with air conditioning for the days when the Big Easy get sticky. Built adjacent to the Superdome, Entergy Park shares parking facilities with the huge football facility. Distinctive features include the multi-level club seats in center and left center field and the huge banners in Mardi Gras colors that hang under the roof, and the Times-Picayune baseball-shaped clock on the right field scoreboard.
Undoubtedly, Entergy Park is going to have some of the best eats in the big leagues with jumbalya, gumbo, and shrimp creole but a few of the New Orleans signature dishes available in the upscale eateries at the park. The fans are known to be enthusiastic and loud, rooting for their hometown nine with the fervor of a college football crowd. The ball carries well in Entergy Park when the roof is open and the fences are easily reached. When the roof is closed, the park takes on a more neutral tendency. Capacity: 46,317 Left Field Line: 327 Left Field: 351 Left Center: 377 Center Field: 400 Right Center: 377 Right Field: 351 Left FIeld Line: 327 Fence Heights: 9 feet Foul Territory: Normal NOTE: If anyone is interested in this park with a less-recognizeable city backdrop, let me know and I will post a revised version, as well.) |

TS
Incredible work, TS. Your description made me hungry though.
![]() Im familiar with that Entergy logo, considering I write them a check every month, and work right next to their Arkansas headquarters. They bought out ArkLa, the main company of Jerry Jones (Dallas Cowboys). |

Very cool...as a Louisiana resident I will get this one. And yes, Entergy gets a chunk over every paycheck of mine as well.

Mr Teflon - You work is AMAZING!!! How can a simple jarhead as myself repay you?? Your description of the park, the food and especially the purple green and gold are amazing and make me miss home even more. Your work in contributing to the best computer game in the world is noteworthy. I find myself going to the OOTP Mods forum just to look for posts from you and Henry. Every time you post a new park - it is better than the last one and the descriptions are worthy of brochures for the particular park!!
WHO ARE YOU AND WHY HASN'T 400 STUDIOS HIRED YOU YET?? Once again - THANKS!!!!!...... and if I can send you a donation, blow something up in your name or readjust someone's attitude for you - I would be more than HAPPY TO!!! Your time and effort are more than worth it!!

Teflon- You're work is just amazing! I too find myself visiting this board with hopes of finding a new stadium! You said that you would post a revised version: could you do that? I've already got Henry's "Pelican Park" as my New Orleans stadium.
Thanks! |

Teflon,
Great looking stadium. I may have missed another post, but can you share with us how you go about making these stadiums? Do you have templates? I'd like to give it a go ... I like dabbling with graphics programs. Thanks for sharing your stadium and creativity with us! StorminZ |
