Francisco Liariano , won't track his stats or scout him

So I'm half way through my innagural twins season and Liarano is still 0-0 with 0 innings pitched, despite winning 2 games that I played with him myself. In addittion, my scouts refuse to scout him or assign him a star rating. The OSA ratings show that he sucks but he's just ripping everything up.

Is there a work around for this?

Not sure if this is the problem or not but you might need to put commissioner mode on, go to edit. and look at action. He might be retired still, which I know sounds weird since he is on the team but that might be the problem, and if that is the problem then unretire him and it should go away.

I will go look at my file as well and see if that is the problem

Is this considered a bug then? I noticed within my game he was on a team, but had the option to UNRETIRE him. Are there more players with this same kind of issue?

Can this happen with imported leagues, too? I'm only asking to know if I should wait until the first patch.

It is more of human error than a bug. There may be a couple of others out there. I will find them and get them fixed.

That was the issue with him. So everyone you need to UNRETIRE Francisco Liriano to get his stats to record and to get him scouted

Thanks. Quick question. When there are roster fixes like this, does it require a full next patch before we will get the fixes? Or will there be a way that roster fixes will be released as needed?

OK make sure you check your free agency for him if you have already done this. As there will now be two of him in the game.

When you do this in the editor. You need to place him on the team again inside the editor otherwise it will create two of him. If you didn't do this initially you can delete the guy in the free agency and it will not cause a problem.

Well with this I will make sure the patch has it corrected. Roster updates will most likely be released in patches when they come out. But I would expect them to be released earlier as well if enough gets updated in the roster to warrant an update. One or two players being fixed will probably not see an update, but if there is a bunch of things fixed players/teams... then it will be updated.

This shouldn't be a problem with imported leagues as this is an error due to the way the roster file was put together. The individual that did it, did not unretire Liriano before putting him on the Twins.

Yup had to unretire Liriano and delete extra Liriano in FA.

Well Liriano has totally dissapeared now, that I deleted teh FA freeagent, it didn't register right away, but he's gone.

I think I had a similar problem, if you did the same thing I did he should still be around. Go to the Minnesota Twins history page and look up their 2006 stats, you should be able to still find him listed there.

i know why he disappeared, at least for me. I didn't edit his team before deleting the "duplicate" in the free agent list. Reloaded another quick start and did that, Liriano remained on the Twins. I think someone said that earlier, but I was a little quick on the delete trigger. The only thing is I get to delete the other game. At least I was less than a week in, but now I'll have to rework all the trades I did for the Royals.

If you haven't deleted the other league you don't have to. You can go to free agents and import historical player, LIRIAFR01 using the year 2007. You will have to edit his dob back a year but he will come in with ratings and be ready to go.

Erich, I realize that I can reimport, but the Twins will have roughly a week's worth of games that won't be accounted for in their pitching stats. That's more what I'm bummed about.

Actually, I'm heartened by the fact that the Glass family is actually spending money in the amateur draft and international scouting. Maybe Dayton will have the chance that Herk and Allard never did with the Glass family in charge.

I didn't realize there were 2 Liarano's, but he caused headaches in my league. The first thing I noticed from scrolling my news was repeated injuries for him, all serious and all days apart. Then my team had a series against the Twins.

My scouts report listed him as the 1st starter we would face. I thought it odd that each of the 3 Twin starters showed zeros for all stats. I generally sim one game at a time, reviewing box scores, etc. after each sim. Liarano started all 3 games, and was listed as injured in game 2. Obviously finding this odd, I went to the Twins pitching screen. It listed no stats for any starter.

At this point I was curious enough to right click on Liarano. One of the options provided was "UNRETIRE" -- which I did. A dialog box said he would now be listed as a FA. By the next day of the season he was a proud Dodger. At least the other Twin starters began to generate stats.

This is a great game, and has remained my overall favorite game since OOTP2. This latest version is showing some exciting changes and improvements, but I am experiencing some quirky stuff here and there. I'm sure Markus will get it all ironed out.
