So that's 7pm for all of us in Blighty. Jolly good show. I can pop the download on before I slope off to the pub and install when I come back. Suits me down to the ground!

For those of you in America:

"So that's 7pm for all of us in Britain. Totally gnarly. I can start the d/l before I hit the bar and install when I come back. Like, excellent, dude!"

That is what makes being a sports fan so great! You suffer through so many "down" seasons, as I have with both the Giants (football and baseball) and Celtics and then when you least expect it, WHAM!! They are champs and it feels soooooo GREATTTTT!!

I have been a sports fan since 1964, when I attended my first sporting event, a baseball game at Shea Stadium between the Mets and Pirates. My dad was from New York and I grew up in Virginia Beach. Anyway to make a long story short(er), My dad was a diehard football and baseball Giants fan. he hated the Knicks but loved the Celtics because of players like Cousy and the coach Auerbach. I idolized my dad so i took his teams as my own as many young children do.

Over the years I began to like Hockey but really didn't get into it until the 90's and have always liked the Red Wings, though i am by no means a diehard hockey fan, mostly just casual.

The Seattle connection? i have lived in the Pacific NW since 1976, 32 years. After awhile the home teams grow on you. So I am a Mariner/Seahawks/Sonics fan. However when the home teams suck (Mariners and Sonics) I tend to lose interest, but I never do with my original three: G-Men/Giants (SF) and Celts!!

Baseball is and will always be my first love in sports. That is why this year is some what painful....but I do have the joy of the G-Men and Celts to help me through this loooong season..oh yeah and OOTP9 which is now less than 2 hours away!!

How about this for my new name: Giants and Celtics Champions fan?? Nice ring you think??

I am right there with you hyde!! I have never had a fave team in baseball, not my giants or home town team M's win a world series (in my life time, all 52 years of it, so far). The Giants broke my heart in 2002 in game 6!!!

So do we just keep trying to download until they put up the file? Do we wait for a post announcing the download is live? How does this work?
