Hey, I'm not a Sosa fan or even a Cubs fan (even though I'm in Illinois) but my last three leagues, Sammy has retired with 754 homers twice and 751 once. I am yet to have anyone surpass Hank although I usually only play to 2010 or 2011. Anybody have anything similar?

I've gone beyond the 2015 season twice and both times, Jime Thome retired as the All-Time Home Run leader with around 830 career round trippers. Sammy usually ends up with close to 700 for me.

I'm only in 2006 so not far enough in for someone to break Aaron's mark but Griffey has 699 and just turned in 35 if he can play two more years at the same pace or close to it he should end up with 90 more which would be enough. I also think A-Rod has a shot at it too, in 2003,2004,2005 he has hit 61-77-65 HR's respectively. I mean he was doing good in real like and before this hot streak but he has been awesome and almost won 3 triple crowns in a row. I think he is 30 or 31 in my league now

I'm in 2010 in my league (maybe 2011...they all blend together after a while). Sosa retired with 784 HR (I believe) in my league, comfortably passing Aaron. No one has threatened him yet (Griffey, Jr. retired with 701, I believe...I'm not in front of the computer) although A-Rod could challenge that. I believe Thome retired without breaking the mark. I'll check that later.
I started with the 2002 Rolen rosters and a fresh draft. I drafted Mo Vaughn as my 1B and he was great for me for three or four years. Because of self-imposed salary cap limitations, I didn't resign him in the year he turned 37. I figured he was about done, anyway....boy was I wrong. He went on to hit another 160+ homers, finally running out of steam when he turned 43. I'll post the stats later. He's a great rebuttal to all the people who talk about players collapsing at age 38 or so. Shocked the heck out of me. If I had known he'd be that good, I would have held onto him, damn the salary.

In my year, it is 2007 and Sammy is still playing and finished the year with 791 HRs.

OR I was dictating to someone who typed the post for me. OR There isn't really a post there. You just think you saw something I posted. Take your pick...
