I had thought a couple of weeks back how being able to replay a game would be good (to me at least). So anyone else who likes it should be thankful I didn't mention it.

Also good to know that the 2nd new feature is that the ballpark photo included is of Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Wow, the ball flight is really cool. The replayable games . . . not as much. But even as I type this, it is sounding cooler. Do they get saved for just the current season, history of the leaguer, or, as I assume, toggleable?

Thumbs up

"Added a streaks section to the league stats screen"

Will this section be included in the almanac and/or files upload for website ??

Thanks

Someone will need to let the CDC know that it's not the flu or heatstroke, it's OOTP9!

Great work, Markus. With the historical play improvements, I have to think that Strat won't be on my PC much longer.....

And.....Dargone's avatar needs to be the new face of OOTP.

Ball location looks pretty intense. Hope it will be simpler to use than it looks. A great intermediary step for a future animation module.

I like the cleaner player displays, but hope you can toggle between them in-game.

Very generous pre-order policy. I hope the community appreciates it.

See, I knew this would be worth waiting for. Nice job development team!

I wonder how large the replay files will be?

While I barely play out any games, I think the two features are really really cool for people who enjoy playing that way. Way to go Markus and I can't wait until June 18th!!!!!!

hate to already be making suggestions, but what would really add to the ball-flight feature. Is the path of baserunners, along with the play of the ball (i.e. throws to first). Probably where the feature is going for next year?

So you can see just how far off 1st a runner was when he was doubled up on a fly ball to shallow right? Very good idea but you're probably right, OOTP10.

Very good question - this was the second thing that came to my mind (the first being, "What a cool feature for us online leaguers!"). Markus, could we get a guesstimate of how much size this feature adds to the league file?

I've been playing the hell out of OOTP8 for the past 3 months (Solo league playing every game). I just don't see enough here to update an already fine game. Looks like this feature is more for historical or online - which is fine just not the way I play the game.

I'm in the gang too.

Not much new stuff for online gamers in this version, but I guess the historical people once again get an improved game . The endurance model being reworked is a great idea, I hope it works well, because it could make the game much better.

I have two questions. The first one is if "foreign" characters are typable on Mac like they are on Windows, since it's currently not the case. The second question is if personality ratings and endurance will now be visible for those of us playing with actual ratings off - I remember Markus saying something to the effect that it would be, months ago, but I can't see that in the features list. It takes a lot of fun out of playing with ratings off if we can't see personality and endurance, since there isn't really anything that gives away that information (except for endurance, letting a guy start out a few games - for personality, no way).

I don't want to quote Markus on the size, since it could change before release but it will definitely be usable for Online Leagues, assuming only replays from the last sim are included in the league file.
