Uniforms Ready For OOTP 9
I have completed the initial installment of uniforms for my major league teams and my single A teams. More enhancements are scheduled for next season.
Thanks to Deft & Silvam for laying the groundwork upon which my efforts rest, and to Cephasjames from whom I obtained many of the logos. Here are the uniforms for my major leagues, Single A league, and the uniforms for my 4-team organization (majors & minors). Note: Pictured for the Barrington Bulldogs is Pitcher Karl Malden.

You are always so very supportive of everybody's work. It is a special (and rare) gift to be able to make people feel good about themselves - so I say very good job to you!
And if that weren't enough - you also seem to be a Doctor Who fan. Who could ask for more. Thanks again for your support.

Really nice work, really. I expecially like the one with the snake and the one in the upper right, in violet...

I absolutely love what you've done here. The centered logos on a number of the jerseys are a fabulous and unique touch. It's always nice to see someone thinking outside the box!

Now I feel I must buy OOTP 9 just to make a "Squid" team.

For the snake one, I tried to use warm colors to create the sense of a warm & hot Arizona climate to go with the Rattler.

I use a layered format in a free paint program (Paint.net) which is similar to Photoshop. I typically use about 7-8 layers for each design. At the end, all the layers are squashed into 1 final layer. I have folders of template elements for... 1. Start 2. Front 3. Side Panels 4. Shoulder Bars 5. Collar 6. Shading (2 layers) and the layers are finished off with text & logo (as necessary). The Layered format allows you to get the most detail with almost no effort. The best way to go in my opinion. So, to make a long story short, I don't have any single uniform templates like most people are used to. I just have a whole stable of template elements. I would be happy to share my template elements but I don't know if anyone else is using a layered creation format. Since I don't have a website, I am unable to post them. In the link above I asked if someone was willing to make them available but I got no takers. Thanks for your kind comment.

Thanks again Mike. The 3 templates that I have in my Shoulder Bar folder were all adapted from your work. I broke them down this way...
1. The broad shoulder (with an extension out to the sleeves) 2. The Narrow bar 3. A combination of both of these. There's room for expansion in all my element folders, but that will have to wait for my next round of uniform design. It was a big job creating 34 uniform designs from scratch. Thanks again for your enlightenment & inspiration.

Thanks Corsairs. Centered logos do look good on a uniform but there is an element of danger! You may have noticed that Deft's shading template automatically appends a line in the middle (and buttons) to show the shading between the two sides of the shirt. This overwrites any front logo that you have created. The smaller (or more detailed) your front - the more it is susceptible to this effect. While I think the effect is good, it does cause me some problems. I especially had problems with the text in "Canaries" and the tail of the Lizard.

Thanks Rob. The name of my league is THE BAY AREA LEAGUE (BAL) which includes teams made up from the San Francisco Bay Area. The team that you mentioned is the San Francisco Squid.
The orange color of the team is taken from the SF Giants, and the blue-green is meant to suggest a bit of the ocean. The stadium picture (now called Squid Stadium) that I use for this team is SBC Park (now called AT&T Park) where the Giants play. The background in the Squid picture is from that stadium. I'll include the final template in case you want to use it...

I'm still looking to upload the files to a single source who can offer them on a website for everyone, but I'll include here one of my shading templates as an example of what they look like. This is Deft's shading template (for the most part)...

For those of you who were interested in getting hold of the templates that I use, I have some good news. They are now available at SimCentral for download...
Files.SimCentral.NET - Out of the Park > Out of the Park 2007 > Ambermonk's Uniform Layer Templates Thanks to Knuckler for suggesting this option. Now I hope to see some great designs from you guys.

It was your kind suggestion that made it all possible. Thanks again.
For those who would like some ideas about how to use these templates, they can review my comments from an earlier thread about how these are used ... http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ed-silvam.html I hope to see some interesting applications.
