Problems With OOTP

I just bought OOTP 8 today. It is on my computer and I have the shortcut up, fully installed and what not. But it will not open when I click the shortcut or go into the file and click ootp8. Any suggestions? Not exactly a computer wizard, maybe I am doing something wrong?

Exactly what happens when you try to run the game? Anything at all? Do you get an error message?

If you're running Vista, you probably have to right-click and select "run as administrator", then "allow" the program to run. You only have to do it the first time. Make sure you read & follow the instructions on the first screen to get it properly licensed - it's easy if you have your e-mailed receipt.
