How Many Online Leagues Do You Play In?
Searched the forums and it doesn't appear a poll has been run on this subject. The poll on the ages of OOTP players was very interesting, perhaps this one will be as well.

Is there a limit to the number of leagues you'll play in so that your particapation level remains high? I find that if I play in more than two leagues at one time my attention to them all suffers so that has become my max.

Three is my limit. And even that stretches my time every now and then.

I am currently doing the initial draft for my first online league in almost 3 years. I tend to keep it small only because I am heavily involved in rotisserie leagues. I guess I would still be able to handle 2 leagues along with the rotisserie leagues. My interest in online leagues definitly grows when the real thing is over.

The 20+ option may seem a joke but I'll wager a Cobb salad that a GM with that many leagues to his name could be easily located.

I can only really handle 1 ...
And I'd rather put in a lot of effort in one league in order to make it better, than be in 2 sub par leagues .... and 2 people voted for 20 plus ... Personally I'm a bit worried. |

I'd definitely question someone who was in 20+ leagues, but at the same time I've seen certain names that seem to be in EVERY new league website that I check out. While the number appears to be absurdly high, I would agree with darkhorse that there could be someone in that many. Although, I think that the two people that voted for it already were probably BSing.
Personally, I've been in three at most, and that was a little difficult to keep totally up-to-date in all of them. After two of them folded, I didn't replace them, and am now down to just one, which was my favorite anyway, and I am perfectly content right now with my level of online league activity. Also, I am in the big new TDCB league that is getting going this week, so that will definitely test the limits of my time. |

Lose your lunch online moment of late. Going into the player development screen and finding out that my wunderkind pitching prospect, rated #1 overall in the NABA, took 4 talent hits in the latest sim.

Wow, that sucks.
![]() On the opposite end of that spectrum though, I recently acquired a 2nd round draft pick in a trade. Right after the player came over to my squad, he got 4 talent boosts and became a stud! I quickly turned him and some other prospects for one of the leagues top hitters. |

I have to resist temptation to join new ones and I hate to bow out once I am in. After moving my family to my new house, I recently had to drop one league and it was tough. I don't want to seem like a 'quitter' and it was the first time I have left a league (although I have had leagues "leave" me as in fold)

Three leagues is my limit. Two of my leagues have sims 3 times a week but not on the same day so it's not too hard to stay on top of things and send in my exports.

I answered 3 although it isn't technically true.
I don't play in the BPLA, I am strictly the commissioner but I devote a ton of time to my baby. I am a manager in Beta, which hasn't officially started, but because I will be running the team on the field, it won't require as much time as fully running a team. I just joined the POTD, and while it also hasn't officially started either, it is the one team the I completely run, so I can devote all of my GM'ing skills to one team. I feel this is the perfect allocation of my online OOTP time. But I constantly have to stop myself from joining any leagues that I find fascinating, or trying to start up another league with any "good" ideas I have.

I prefer to play in only one league and put all my effort into that to make it a great league, which it is. I cant believe anyone is in 20 leagues. I wouldnt want those people in my league.
