By the way, the way I play is just one season, with player aging off, with a fantasy draft at the beginning, once again the AI drafting is pretty weak,so Its pretty easy to out draft them without some house rules. I'd like to change all players age to 21 so I could play 15 or so seasons in a career mode, but I cant see myself changing all the birth dates manually for 4000 players, lol. You can still play in a career mode as it is,but I would lose to many players to retirement to keep my rosters full in my current setup. |

FORMER Mac problems...
Spanky, after using the PC demo version in my virtual pc, I was able to import this and then share it over to my Mac drive as a quickstart. Seems to work just fine!!! Thanks for the great effort.

Just wondering if anyone has a copy of this with all players signed to a team so you can easily have an inaugural draft with all players available.
never mind, found a fairly easy way to get around this...just create several computer teams, give AI control over all teams, sim a day and voila, depending on how many teams you create the FAs should be signed for the most part. Last edited by The Outlaw; 04-13-2008 at 09:49 PM. |

I have been playing with these greats for a long time and every game is always exciting. However, I cheat a little bit only because the A/I is brutal when it has so many great players to use against you. However, I am trying to reform myself as I play more. Spanky |

Ootp9
Wow, OOTP 9 is coming out. Looks like a great update. I'm hoping the new version will include a "Real Live" Bullpen Warm-up feature. As it stands now, one can just throw a couple guys in the bullpen and leave them there indefinitely without any cost or consideration for fatigue. I would like to see a fatigue factor applied for each inning or part of an inning relievers are warming up. Since this is an integral part of "real-time" baseball, the absence of the "fatigue" factor makes the game quite a bit unrealistic.
Just a thought by Spanky. |

You can but it's a 6.5 file so theirs other steps to do it.
Where's 03 and 97,08 Marlins and 08 Rays and so on meaning maybe in a future version? If you want Photo's just use others intill this one comes out. How about Minor League Teams to in it?

I have the MAC version of both OOTP 2007 and ootp9
I can't get the database to work. It tells me it can't read the "word" file and the league structure is corrupted. I REALLY want this roster set. Any suggestions? |

I'm also running ootp9 on a mac, and the import doesn't work for me either. In my case however, the game immediately crashes when I select the league.dat file when so prompted.
Maybe a PC user could convert into an ootp9 league and then upload somewhere? I'd love to use this database, and I'm obviously not the only one.

ANyone post a MAC version?
If anyone that has converted an old PC version to a MAC (saw the guy with the virtual machine) can please post the database that would be awesome.
I do have to say that this is the only roster set that I am having trouble with which seems odd. I will keep trying to get it to work and if I find some magical potion that makes it work I will post the fix here. I just want to use this roster set so bad! It looks awesome! |
