Trading bug?

I'm not exactly sure what I did but the result sure wasn't right.

I tried pulling off a deal that the real BoSox tried to pulloff in the offseason (or rumor had it), Shea Hillenbrand and Casey Fossum for Bartolo Colon. So I tried the same 2 players to the AI White Sox and they accepted. The problem is before clicking the "accept" button, I removed Hillenbrand by left clicking or right clicking (not sure) and the trade went through! Fossum for Colon straight up. Version 5.01.

EDIT: Actually what I did was after the AI agreed to the deal, I "cleared" Hillenbrand and then clicked "complete trade". The AI didn't re-evalutate the deal.

unless it thought that was still a good deal, which is possible (just not probable).

You'd need to go back and see if they would take the trade without ever putting Hillenbrand's name into it at all. It might not be a bug so much as the computer was willing to make that other trade...as unlikely as that might be.

ZD, good idea so I tried it. Its not a trading bug or at least not how I described it. The computer was perfectly happy with Fossum straight up for Colon.

Fossum is a 4 1/2 star prospect and Colon is an overall 3 1/2. So maybe the problem is more in the ratings rather then the trading engine.
