Cant import 6.5/2006 Games in OOTP8

I had this trouble with 2007 and i still get it with 8. I g to 'Import 6.5/2006 Game' and it gets all the way to the end of importing the name database and then it pops up with an illegal operation error caused by ootp8.exe box.

I tried going to custom game, but as soon as i hit 'Import 6.5/2006 league' it crashes the same way. Everything else in the game works, just i cant import my old games

Your old games were simmed to Opening Day?

well i cant even get to the screen to be able to import them. As soon i click the button, it crashes.

Are you using version 8.0.0.13? If not, please upgrade.

If that doesn't work, please uninstall and reinstall the game. Make sure to delete all of the information in the C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 8\data folder in the process.

Let us know if anything works.

hmm i tried reinstalling, deleteing those files in that Application Data folder and updating to 8.0.0.13, but it still gives me that error. Not sure what to do

Yeah, me neither. That doesn't make any sense to me.

My suggestion would be to convince someone else to convert your league for you. If you'd like to try to find me on AIM (as Nutlaw), I could give it a shot.
