PBL - OOTP Recruitment
Peoples Baseball League
Has been in existence since 1997. Dedicated owners deserve a dedicated Commisioner. Coming up on my 11th year doing this - and not going anywhere any time soon. After I have completed this attack on MLB History, more is sure to come. League is currently in 2001. 6 more seasons to go before we catch up. Not sure what the plan is after then, but I have some ideas on what to do. You MUST remain active. Squatting on teams not permitting. League Data: - League Name: Peoples Baseball League - League URL: http://thepbl.vernsworld.net - League Type: Historical League - Special Rules: Every team is given the same amount of money to spend. In an online historical league format this in my opinion is REQUIRED. How many times have you had a low market team that just simply provided top talent to the wealthy teams when free agency comes around?!?! The Financial system is decent, however I think its more suited for fictional leagues. - # of Teams: 24 Teams - OOTP version: 2007 v.2.03.68 - Other Points of Interest: I started this league in 1901, although the human aspect didnt begin until 1960. My only regret on the setup of the league was injuries, too many seem to happen even at Low setting - Stud players getting CEI's. I have corrected this, setting Very Low for Injuries and brought back some of the studs that crashed from PBL existence (Barry Bonds for example). Maybe it was poetic justice he had a CEI at age 27, but this isnt politics. No Revenue Sharing - not needed with how we setup finances, and all it seemed to do was help wealthy teams stay afloat. Owners do not exist, so they have no say on money available, you can use the league mandated amount. Which by the way is $100 mil. Thanks for taking an interest in the league. A handful of teams are available currently. Send a formal request to PBLCommish@gmail.com, and I will get back to you promptly on a list of teams to choose from. Hello and here's a shameless "bump" for the PBL league. Have a few openings and would like to get them filled. Please send us a msg if you are interested in joining. Some good teams are available.

We are at Free Agency, just finished the 2002 season. Still could use a couple more owners, if interested, please email pblcommish@gmail.com with your interest. He will gladly let you know what teams are available, and any other questions you may have.
