Slightly odd schedule request
14 teams, 2 divisions of 7, 310 games per season, playing as follows: single games on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, doubleheaders on Monday and Friday. No games Wednesday.

Did you mean maybe 130 games? Do you want balanced (play all other 13 teams the same number of times) or unbalanced (play division opponents more often)?
Is this for only one subleague with two divisions or two subleagues each with one of the divisions? |

No, I meant 310 =) (hence the "slightly odd"). 2 divisions in one subleague. doesn't matter if it's balanced or not.

![]() With 310 games played 8 per week, that is about 9 months. That may be okay, but I believe there can be problems with a season being so long it causes other events and the offseason to be screwed up. If you have not already know that this will work, the main forum can probably help. Sorry I do not know for sure. Assuming it is okay, what date would you want the schedule to begin? Are you set on exactly 310 games? If it was 312, that would work out with a balanced 24 games against each of the other 13 teams. Going the other direction (in case you for some reason were suddenly favoring unbalanced), if it was 308 that would work out with 28 games per division opponent and 20 games per other-division opponent, and if it was 304, that would work out with 32 games per division opponent and 16 games per other-division opponent. Just want to know if there is leeway on the precise number. |

Should have asked this before - is there to be an All-Star Break at any point?
The easiest solution by far is the balanced 312 games, so I am strongly leaning that way though I will think about a way to try to coax out the shorter 304 games. Those two fit perfectly with all even 4-game series & even home/away, and 4-game series line up with your Sun/Mon*2/Tue & Thu/Fri*2/Sat layout. The 312 games, an All-Star Break for half a week, and starting as late as Feb 11 (to keep the layout for the days of the week it would be set to start on the first Thursday on or after Feb 5) could run the season as late as about Nov 13 or 14. Figuring up to about 10 days of playoffs for a 7-game series, I would guess that is still okay. I meant to ask this before since this schedule made me wonder about it. At least through OOTP2006 the database only allowed RBI to go up to 255 after which #256 would reset the value to zero. I was out of the loop on the game for a while - has that been changed with OOTP2007/OOTP8? |

Try the attached out. I zipped it up for a smaller attachment size. Note that it is balanced, so the setup parameter will need to be set to that.
Let me know if there are any problems with it. |
