Well truthfully, I had no idea that CBS owned Showtime and EliteXC until this report came out.

Add Dan Henderson to the list of fighters that have bowed down to the greatness that is Anderson Silva.

Anderson Silva is the man !!
I'll always pony up the cash to pay to see him fight. Another fantastic win for Silva.

It was also nice to see Herring pull off the win as well tonight.
Impressive win against a worthy opponent in Kongo.

I thought the fight was more one-sided than what the scorecards made it seem to be.

Bump for what? To pad your post count? How about you post something instead relevant instead of bumping 30 threads? How about talking about how M-1 Global no longer exists, but Monte Cox, who was running the show, started a new MMA organization called Adrenaline MMA and has also signed Tim Sylvia and Ben Rothwell to non-exclusive fight deals that allows them to fight outside the organization. Or how about pointing out that Monte Cox is also both of those fighter's Manager and poses a bit of a conflict of interest?

Great night of fights last night, and I'm very excited for the new season of TUF.
A few buddies and I put a bet on picking who goes the furthest in the show from day one. Now, with the surpirse twist last night...we're going to wait until the 16 are in to decide who we pick. I'll post here when all is said and done.

Watching the "farm boy" get decimated was a treat. Seeing Houston Alexander dropped in record time was also interesting to see, and then hearing him state that "his kids hit harder". Maybe Dana signed the wrong Alexander to fight in the UFC.

Dana White is putting out all the stops in the next few UFC shows. Shows are just about booked through UFC 87 in August and they all look really good.

dola,
I'm still pondering why Frank Mir has to fight Justin McCully of all people. Mir should be next in line at Nogueira's belt. Seems that Dana is banking on winning the case against Couture and forcing him into a fight with Nog.

So, Fedor is fighting Tim Sylvia. The Sherdog forums are full of drool and UFC-hate.
Am I the only one that isn't that excited about this? So he's fighting the guy who just got subbed by someone Fedor has beaten twice. Yay?

I have no interest in a Fedor fight unless it's against either Cro Cop or Couture.

Still, it's nice to see Fedor fighting a top HW again even if it's one he should be able to beat easily. I'm not excited for the fight simply because I have doubts as too whether it'll actually happen or not. Neither side has signed a contract yet and Fedor's management aren't the easiest guys to deal with.

Risky fight if they are seriously banking on Couture/Fedor being possible at the end of the year, because Fedor stands to lose a whole lot and can gain very little from it. Sylvia is a guy who's despised here and gets no credit, so a win means nothing and a loss would really hurt.
I'd like to see it though personally. I mean, it's a much more interesting fight than Fedor vs. another freakshow or scrub. I think Sylvia has the potential to legimitately cause him problems, so I'd like to see it. I won't count on it happening though. I still want to see Fedor vs. Barnett. I think that's maybe even higher than Fedor/Randy on my list to see. |
