When starting historical league, do I fill in Minors with fictional players?

I created a historical league last night but no minor leaugue teams are filled. Do I need to fill minors with fictional players? If so, what happens next year with the new players being added?

That depends on your personal preference. If you don't want any fictional guys in your league then no. But they can come in handy if you have injuries set to normal. Most times when a team is imported especially 1920 and before they barely have enough for their major league roster.

If you decide not to bring in any fictional players, I recommend you turn down injuries for a year or two.

you can but then a lo of historical borderline players won't make it to the majors. It will still ask if you want to import new rookies from the DB but you will have those extra fakes there also from the 1st season...

hope that helps

I say no. But that depends on what you want out of your historical sim.

If you're looking to get it close to being like actual history, you are much better off turning the injuries down the first few years, then steppin it up to normal. For me, it's usually been around 5-6 seasons before the injuries are set to Normal.

The thing about filling the minors with fictional players is that you're going to get some who will develop in good major league players. And that may cause too much divergence from history.

I would recommend against it, but it is up to you.
