Mac: Unexpectedly quits

When I'm playing OOTP8 on my Mac, the game has started unexpectedly quitting every time I try to advance more than one day into the future. If I save, advance (crash), reopen and then load, I can move one day a time. Needless to say, this is not how I care to play the game.

Any ideas?
