worldwide snapshot universe...is it out there?

Posted this in the wrong forum yesterday like a bonehead. I wanted to put feelers out to see if there was interest in a mod like this.

I am looking to create a league that is something of a snapshot (i was thinking right after the World Baseball Classic) that incorporates not only the MLB players, but all their minors, as well as leagues in other nations that run simultaneously throughout the year. THat way, when i send a scout to Japan, i am actually seeing the Matsuzakas of the league and not just searching for a random player with a Japanese name. This was probably getting out of hand, but i even wanted the U.S. college teams. I have been accused of being a completist before, but this is really what i wanted this game to do when i first got it.

I figured it would be a chore, so i wanted to snoop around and see if it had been attempted by any on this great community first.

Looks like just what i was looking for, without the real world names. Now, how do i utilize it? where do i unzip it to? (Yes, i'm a moron)

To C:\Documents and Settings\YourVeryOwnUserNameHere\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 8\data\world_templates

Then you load it as a template.

do i create the folder called "World Templates"? Seems to make my game crash during startup. Using Vista if tat makes a difference (Please give me one mroe reason to back-grade to XP) Saving these .quick files into the data folder works but they never seem to appear in the Load Quickstart menu, just the 3 normal templates (FIctional 5 etc)

What am i doing wrong?
