Ascot Park Speedway, Los Angeles, CA, USA
[11] Rocky Marciano, Italy, 23-4-0 (22) vs [23] Young Stribling, USA, 18-1-2 (10)
Both fighters enter the ring looking like they were carved from marble. The best punch is a smashing cross landed by Marciano in the opening round, 9-7, Marciano. Marciano is the aggressor, but Stribling does a great job of countering every single shot and is warned by the ref for an elbow, 14-13, Marciano in the 2nd. Stribling is hurt by a cross early in the 3rd but recovers and rallies, 19-12, Marciano. The 4th is pretty close, 8-5, in favor of the Rock. Stribling is warned for a low blow in the 5th, a round in favor of Marciano again, 16-6. Marciano opens a nasty gash over the right eye and the ringside physician comes up onto the ring and it looks like this fight is over! Winner: Marciano Result: (TKO6) Cards: 49-46, 50-45, 49-46, all three cards in favor of Marciano Punch stats: 129-294, 43.9% Stribling - 127-323, 39.3% Marciano |

[10] Joe Frazier, USA, 22-5-0 (22) vs [19] Evander Holyfield, USA, 19-3-1 (19)
'Smokin Joe takes on the "Real Deal" tonight in front of a packed house. Frazier's last fight was a loss to Cliff "HUGE" Hughes for the IBF championship. Both fighters are looking for a big win to set themselves up for another shot at a title. A close first round as both fighters exchange some hard shots. Holyfield lands a combination that floors Frazier in the 3rd, 24-8. Thats two rounds in a row, 18-8, for Holyfield. Frazier comes back in the 5th, 13-4. Frazier traps Holyfield in the corner and goes to work on the body. Holyfield looks shaken. Frazier is on an all-out offensive attack and Holyfield hasnt responded with any retaliatory shots. The referee steps in and stops the contest here in the 6th round with 0:08 seconds remaining in the round. Winner: Frazier Result: (TKO6) Cards: 48-46, on all three cards in favor of Holyfield Punch stats: 107-408, 26.2% Holyfield - 141-412, 34.2% Frazier |

Another hiatus for program problems...
Never seems to stop. But this will only take a little bit of time.
My org.dat file is broken and my organizational ratings do not work. There are no differences in positional rankings between organizations. I already experimented with changing the dat.file and it messed up every single title holder. But the good news is, when I re-created the major organizations, IBF, WBA, WBC and WBO, the rankings had fighters changing positions and there was a difference in rankings between each org. I have to go in and change all the title holders again, but I should be up again by this afternoon. Going to get some sleep, it is 2:45am where I am. Sorry for the delay again, but I have the worst luck. These problems do not seem to be happening to anybody else, what is the deal? Nobody else has a "broken" org.dat file! What the hell is that!

I need some help please!
Well, after spending the afternoon fixing my universe, it seems to be messed up again. I copied and pasted a new org.dat file to my 2.0 saved game universe as instructed by Andreas and spend time fixing all my title holders and organizations. When I pasted it, all the organizations had changed the title holders so I had to manually edit all the champions back to their respective orgs. At the time, the main orgs, IBF, WBA, WBC, WBO, rankings were changing and had different boxers in different positions, which is how it is suppose to be. But I had multiple titles for some boxers that didnt belong there. Screw it I said, because the rankings were working and there was deviation among organizations. Now, I reopen my universe tonight and the multiple rankings have disappeared which I thought was fantastic, but now my rankings are static again, only changes in position are amongst the champions of the different main orgs. I am getting real tired of this crap. ![]() I need help. Mike, I hope you are reading this. Do you think that if I export all my fighter files and their history to a new 2.5 database that I will still have all these problems? I seem to think that there is some sort of bug in my 2.0 universe because I have had so many more problems than anybody else. I havent heard of anybody else having a broken ord.dat file. I have seen one other person having problems with their boxer's titles disappearing, (McCleary Mauler) in the troubleshooting threads. I havent heard anybody else having import issues with the birth countries changing or the trainers and cutmen changing. The last few are bugs that Andreas said were fixed in the latest patch, but still happen with my universe. I keep importing Chris Conn's REC fighters and their birth countries are always altered. Ireland is Iran, etc. When I import fighter files the biographies are showing up in the biography section and not the notes section like Andreas said it would transfer upon import to 2.5. I am assuming that you didnt have any of these problems upon importing your 2.0 LBA to 2.5, correct? So what in the hell is going on with my universe? |

Well, it looks as though I am going to always go into my auto 10 saved games files and save my last fighter2titles dat.file and my last organizations.dat file so that I have backups to copy and paste if I switch databases. Everytime that I switch to another database and then save and close it, when I come back to this universe, I lose my data. When I go to my RFG database, I come back and lose all my titles. This only happens is I close and save. If I just close, all my titles remain. When I went to my main database that houses all my HW files, I created some non-fiction fighters from some countries. After I closed and saved that db, when I came back and opened this uni, my org rankings were messed up again. Static and no positional changed rankings between major orgs.

I'm sorry I really have no idea why you are having so many problems. To be honest I have yet to play my imported uni in 2.5 except to run a couple of tests so maybe once I start I will have these problems also ... but I'm not seeing anything you mention.
If I were guessing I would say your 2.0 file is messed up. |

Arguello puts Mora down three times on way to KO win...
Alexis Arguello, Nicaragua, 6-1-0 (6) vs Javier Mora, Mexico, 6-1-0 (6)
Estadio Revolucion, Loreto, BCS, Mexico. El Monstruo Mora definitely has the crowd behind him but Arguello pounds the hometown hero ferociously over the first two rounds. Mora responds with a terrific third. Arguello regains control and opens up a cut over Mora's eye in the fifth. A vicious cross puts Mora down in the 7th. Mora is up at the count of nine. A hard combination puts Mora down at the end of the 8th. Mora is down again at the end of the 9th and this time is unable to get up. Winner: Arguello Result: (KO9) Cards: 79-70, 78-72, 79-70, all three cards in favor of Arguello Punch stats: 125-245, 51.4% Mora - 253-715, 35.4% Arguello |

Sanchez delights the crowd with an impressive KO victory...
Salvador Sanchez, Mexico, Pro Debut vs Juan Olivera, Mexico, 0-4-0
El Palenque, Mexico. Eva Longoria is on hand to parade around the ring between rounds for this special event. Chava Sanchez is a huge fan favorite after compiling an impressive amateur record and the place has been sold out for weeks in anticipation of his debut. His camp has taken away his car keys because he has a tendency to like fast cars and they want him focused on his boxing career. A straight right ends the fight at the 1:22 mark of the initial round and Eva will not have to strut her stuff as Sanchez delivers on the promise that he has shown throughout his amateur career. Winner: Sanchez Result: (KO1) Cards: N/A Punch stats: 0-0, 0% Olivera - 13-13, 100% Sanchez |

Galaxy dominates match-up of ICBA prospects...
Khaosai Galaxy, Thailand, 7-0-0 (7) vs Vic Darchinyan, Australia, 8-0-0 (8)
Newcastle Panther Club, Newcastle, NSW, Australia. The Thai Tyson meets the Raging Bull in a clash of promising ICBA prospects. Both fighters come in undefeated with all wins coming by way of knockout. I expect this fight to be very action-packed and entertaining. Darchinyan is hurt early in the first round by a straight right but barely survives, 26-3, Galaxy in the 1st. Darchinyan has no answer for Galaxy's attack and the ref steps in at the 2:19 mark of the 2nd round and stops the fight. A quick stoppage and rather disappointing showing by Darchinyan as the crowd is silent in shock. Winner: Galaxy Result: (TKO2) Cards: 10-9, on all three cards in favor of Galaxy Punch stats: 6-69, 8.7% Darchinyan - 85-139, 61.2% Galaxy |

Tiger stops one of RFGPBC's young, up and coming fighters...
Dick Tiger, Nigeria, 5-0-0 (4) vs Mengitsu Awotwe*, Nigeria, 2-0-0 (1)
Togo, Nigeria. Awotwe is one of many young fighters coming out of the RFG Professional Boxing Camp. Tiger should have too much experience for the youngster. Tiger is landing shots and getting in and out in the early rounds. Awotwe's left eye is swelling up pretty bad. A nice cross puts Awotwe down for good in the 6th round. Tiger remains undefeated and Awotwe suffers his first defeat. Winner: Tiger Result: (KO6) Cards: 48-47, 49-46, 50-46, all three cards in favor of Tiger Punch stats: 65-181, 35.9%, Awotwe - 244-325, 75.1%, Tiger |
