Scouting Draft Class

I'm experimenting with complete scouting for the first time and I'm not sure the best way to scout a draft class, or what options the game will allow. I run two feeder leagues, a college and high school. I draft primarily from high school and I was wondering if it was better to scout this league, or if the game will give me a scout draft pool option after the class is revealed. Any help is appreciated.

You will be able to scout the draft class after it is announced so you don't have to scout either of your feeder leagues. But if it's me I scout both.

The reason is you should have plenty of scouts to accomplish the tasks at hand. I have four feeder leagues for my MLB structured league. Two HS and two college leagues. I have one scout look at the college leagues and one at the HS leagues. Each league takes approx 160 days to quick scout so both scouts are busy for 320 days per year. This leaves them 45 days to completely scout my organization and the new draft class.

I like this because it keeps the scouts busy for the entire year and also let's me get a sneak peak at the up and coming draft classes.

FWIW I only play a MLB structure so don't have to send scouts around the world looking for talent. So if they weren't scouting the feeder leagues they'd be idle a lot of the time.

Isn't this redundant, though? If each scout scouts the draft class when it's published, those scouting reports just replace the ones they spend the previous 5 months preparing, which you then effectively never look at. Or am I misunderstanding?

To the OP: The game will give you the option of scouting the draft class as soon as it is revealed. In my solo league (very small), it takes my scouts about 20-25 days to scout the entire draft class (little under 400 players, both feeder & game-generated). I don't know if that amount of time varies by size, but I believe the dates are all customizable. In other words you set the date the draft class is published and you set the date of the ammy draft itself.
