Crazy fight there, I never expect Savon to be the one to pull out a come from being KO. It didn't go as easy as I had hoped but a win is a win so thats all that matters. Hopefully, this propels Savon up the rankings.

I'm not sure of which fighters are still available for me to pick. 1 or 2 new fighters could be fun.

Bugner is efficient and effective as he returns to the win column down under...
Joe Bugner, UK, 17-5-0 (14) vs Ross Jenkins, Australia, 11-4-1 (7)
Rushcutters Bay Stadium, Sydney, NSW, Australia. Juggernaut Promotions and Joe Bugner anxiously re-enter the ring. Bugner has had a bad string of luck, losing two fights by DQ, that he was way ahead on the cards. A sharp cross in the third round puts the hometown, Jenkins down for the first time. Jenkins recovers and takes the fourth in a close round. Bugner outpunches Jenkins in the 5th, 8-2. The 6th is another good round for Bugner as he shows effective punching and opens a cut above the brow of Jenkins. The 7th is a relatively close round, 12-12. The fighters exhange in the 8th, 19-6, with Bugner getting the best of it. 19-8, Bugner in the 9th. The 10th is clearly an Aussie round, 12-2, as Jenkins lands a nice double jab to finish the round. All U.K. in the 11th, as a hook ends the fight with a KO at the end of the round. I am sure that JP and Bugner are glad to see the fight end before something bad can happen to them again. Winner: Bugner Result: (KO11) Cards: 98-91, 99-90, 98-92, all three cards in favor of Bugner Punch stats: 166-465, 35.7% Jenkins - 358-792, 45.2% Bugner |

Just give me some names and I will let you know if they are available. I am going to be for a bit longer tonight. Will definitely get to your boy, Kessler.

A great fight lights up the strip as Rampage wins UD15 over Howard...
Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, USA, 11-3-0 (10) vs Jack Howard, Australia, 13-1-1 (13)
Excalibur, Las Vegas, NV, USA. Howard makes the trip across the pond to the glitz and glamour of the strip in Las Vegas. The first two rounds are pretty close, both fighters landing effective punches. Neither fighter is separating himself. Rampage explodes in the 4th but Howard closes late, 22-15, Jackson. The 5th is good for Rampage, 24-12. Both boxers are exchanging and not much defense is being shown, 22-14, Rampage in the 6th. Howard, 19-13, in the 7th. Jackson has some swelling developing around the left eye. The eighth is an even round, 15-15. Endurance will play a factor in this fight as both men have a high punch rate per round. Jackson applies pressure in the 10th and puts the visitor down for the first time in the fight at the end of the round. An uppercut puts Howard down again at the end of the 11th. Howard keeps coming forward as he seems to have recovered from the two knockdowns. The fight has been full of exchanges from both fighters and the knockdowns could be the difference in the fight. Oh, Howard puts Jackson down in the middle of the 14th. That may have closed the scoring in the fight. We go to the last round. This has been a tremendous fight. Jackson clearly takes the last round, 19-4. We will go to the cards. Winner: Jackson Result: (UD15) Cards: 142-141, 144-139, 143-140, all three in favor of Jackson Punch stats: 408-840, 48.6% Jackson - 392-956, 41% Howard |

The Viking Warrior improves to 8-0...
Mikkel Kessler, Denmark, 7-0-0 (7) vs Guiseppe Sanga, Spain, 5-2-0 (5)
K.B. Hallen, Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, Denmark. Both fighters take the first round slow, feeling each other out. But the 2nd is quite the opposite as Kessler aggressively lands blows, 15-2, and puts the Spaniard down on the mat. 20-6, for Kessler in the 3rd. Kessler keeps beating Sanga to the punch and puts Sanga down for the 2nd time at the end of the 4th, 23-0. A solid cross puts Sanga down to start the 5th. I dont know how much longer he can survive but he gets out of the round. A three punch combo opens a cut over the eye of Sanga in the 6th. A huge combination ends the fight in the 7th as Sanga finally is unable to get to his feet after a tremendous beating by Mikkel Kessler. Winner: Kessler Result: (KO7) Cards: 60-51, on all three cards in favor of Kessler Punch stats: 54-170, 31.8% Sanga - 180-507, 35.5% Kessler |

Hawkes is no match for Norris...
Terry Norris, USA, 2-0-0 (2) vs Jack Hawkes, USA, 1-0-0 (1)
Exhibition Hall, Miami Beach, FL, USA. Norris has Hawkes in trouble from the very sound of the bell, 26-0, in the first round. Norris sends Hawkes to the floor in the 2nd and even though Hawkes makes it to his feet, he is unable to respond to the referee's commands and this fight is over at the 2:08 mark of the 2nd. Winner: Norris Result: (TKO2) Cards: 10-8, on all three cards in favor of Norris Punch stats: 12-12, 100% Hawkes - 97-160, 60.6% Norris |

He is up next month. Remember, he has to sit out minimum two months due to TKO/KO loss to Oliver McCall. He is 2nd up on the list for April, so I will get his opponents list up right after all the bouts for March are completed. |

Solid wins for Winslow and Bugner, hopefully both are back on track. Joe probably isn't going to make the big time, but perhaps a regional title shot could be in his future.

Bugner just needs to put away his opponents quicker when he has them on the ropes and not risk the bad luck that he has had. Those two DQ's could have easily vaulted him up the rankings. If he can get to a regional title, and possibly win, he can definitely have a chance to move up quicker since the quality of wins will help with the advancement process. I am looking at Valdez as the one fighter that will make noise in the region he is in, but the quality of fighters has drastically gone up with the addition of so many good Mexican fighters. |

First promotional team to take a shot at a RFG fighter. Always a risk the way some of these guys are rated, but should be an easy win for Tiger. In the region you are in, I think it may be better sometimes, to take a RFG fighter because they may be a little better for quality wins than some of the non-fictional fighters with their records. |

It throws in a little mix and allows me to fill in some countries and regions easier. I try to make as many real-life fighter files as possible using boxrec, but even then, some countries just dont have enough fighters. I have made a lot of real files for Mexico, but I still created some RFG's because I have added a lot of real good boxers that will enter the universe and need filler fights to begin their careers. Look at the list: Sanchez Cuevas Pintor Canto Saldivar Chacon I. Vasquez R. Marquez M.A. Barrera Paez Carbajal Palomino Zarate Olivares Lopez Limon Ponce-DeLeon Arce to go along with already previously added: Chavez J.L. Castillo J.L. Ramirez Arreola Corrales Vargas Margarito Juan Diaz Morales De La Hoya J.M. Marquez This is a killer section!

Hopkins debuts with a TKO win...
Bernard Hopkins, USA, Pro Debut vs Brian Yates, USA, 1-0-0
San Antonio Municipal Auditorium, San Antonio, TX, USA. The Executioner makes his professional debut here in front of a crowd that is excited to see this highly regarded for U.S. amateur. Hopkins starts off a bit slow but lands heavily and sends Yates down in the 2nd. An uppercut puts Yates down at the beginning of the 3rd but he is able to survive the round. Yates is down for the third time in the 4th round. Hopkins is all over Yates and he is unable to protect himself as the ref steps in at the 2:16 mark of the 4th round. Winner: Hopkins Result: (TKO4) Cards: 29-26, 30-25, 29-26, all three cards in favor of Hopkins Punch stats: 35-92, 38% Yates - 102-398, 25.6% Hopkins |

Valdez continues on the winning path but also continues to struggle with cuts during fights...
Rodrigo Valdez, Colombia, 6-0-0 (5) vs Jose Maria Flores Burlon, Uruguay, 4-0-0 (2)
Medellin, Colombia. Two undefeated fighters make their way into the sweltering, crowded gym here in Medellin, Colombia. Burlon shows good technical skills and is able to jab and block some of Valdez's punches. Valdez takes the 1st, 14-6. Burlon is on his heel and is the counterpuncher as Rocky Valdez gets off first and leads the 3rd, 16-6. Burlon lands a cross that opens a cut over Valdez' right eye and there is also swelling around the left eye. Valdez wins the exchange in the middle of the ring and puts Burlon down, 25-6, in the 6th. Valdez and Burlon are exchanging again against the ropes but Burlon seems to be withering and hasnt recovered from the knockdown in the last round. Raul Caiz Jr. steps in and saves Burlon from any further damage. Another good win for the undefeated Valdez but he continues to have struggles with cuts. Winner: Valdez Result: (TKO7) Cards: 58-55, 59-54, 58-55, all three cards in favor of Valdez Punch stats: 143-409, 35% Burlon - 216-520, 41.5% Valdez |
