Is anyone having any issues with OOTP 8 and Microsoft Vista?

Was thinking of getting a new machine which may have Vista on it, was wondering if there is anyone in the ootp community whom would like to say they have had no issues and or they have had issues with the OS and OOTP

I too have Vista and had no issues with OOTP. You should really dual-boot it with XP just in case you do have problems, though.

No issues with Vista, just remember to run it as Admin the first time you open it. This isn't an OOTP issue, just a new twist MS added to Vista.

Same. I wound up wiping my HD and reinstalling XP last week because I hated it so much. I should have dual-booted...

I've used 2007 with Vista and the game itself ran fine with no problems, except when it saved, it would hault on 'Saving Messages' and would take 3-4 times as long to save than it did on XP. I know there a couple of threads on here that talk about it. I don't know if OOTP 8 runs the same way, but it was enough to never want to play OOTP on Vista ever. Other than that, the gameplay and everything was the exact same. Maybe someone who was having the same problem could verify that this has been fixed in version 8.

I too have Vista. As previously said, run it as Administrator the first time. Also takes long time to load/save compared to XP.
