Ghost Player on 40 man Roster

Greg Miller (SP) appears on the Los Angeles Dodgers 40 man roster, but he is on the Minnesota Twins Roster. It even says Greg Miller MIN(ML).

I've tried editing him, retiring him, and deleting him. He won't leave the 40 man roster.

When I try to release him, it says he must remain on the 25 man roster or 15 day DL. I place him on Waivers, but he doesn't show up on the waiver section.

This has happened to me, and here's how:

-I went into Commissioner mode to switch a guy from the Twins to the Tigers. I didn't even think to check, but he was on the Twins 40-man roster. When I switched him to the Tigers, the game removed him from the Twins 25-man roster, but *not* from the 40-man. So that's one way the bug can arise- by changing a guy's team in Commish mode- but there may be others. I know someone had the problem in an online league and it was difficult to fix (not sure if the below will work in that case);

-Here's how I fixed the problem: went back into Commissioner mode, got the guy off the Tigers 40-man roster (released him), and then sent the guy back to the Twins. He does *not* show up twice now on the Twins 40-man- only once- so he's now only on one 40-man roster, thankfully. Then I make the Twins release the guy, so he's on no 40-man roster, then I can do what I want with him.

I'm now in the habit of checking whether a guy is on a 40-man before changing his team in Commish mode, though obviously it would be better if the bug were fixed.

Is this an online league Chris? If so, injury_log's solution seems to be quicker and easier than the way I've done it for other leagues that have had this problem.
