OOTP5 (I can't read the writing)

Once in the game, I cannot read the letters for anything. I installed DirectX 9 and the patch. I don't know what else to do. I hope there is a fix to this as I would hate to have spent $35.00 on something I can't play.

Toggle the 3D settings in the Game Configuration Utility and see if this helps.

If this doesn't help can you explain your problem in more depth and include your current display settings (screen resolution, number of colors, etc.).

The letters are all chopped up. I can't read writing on any screen accept the one at the very beginning. Toggling does not help. My settings are 800X600 Pixels and color quality of highest (32bit).
