A couple of things I've noticed though:

1. Is the triples park factor for Comerica Park correct at 200?
2. Are you going to amend Comiskey Park to U.S. Cellular Field?

Thanks.
1. Yup...keep in mind, triples are so rare that a small deviation yields a big result like that. The figures are taken from Stats Inc's Scouting Notebook
2. I forgot that change had taken place already. It'll be in the opening day set.

Gregg for the fan loyalty ratings I would say take a look at the % of people going to the games at the stadiums and break it down that way. If the stadiums are 95% full then they get a high rating and so forth down the line. Granted you will need to take into account how large the stadium is that they are using as well. Because a low fan/loyalty but a high Fan Interest will still bang out smaller stadiums but not fill the larger ones all the time.

Gforce,

Thanks for the reply. One other thing I noticed is that you've got the capacity for Qualcomm Stadium at 771. This could be the case for 2004 but this year I think they might squeeze a few more in!!.

Shucker,

You got it!!

I just checked Haynes...adjust his ratings to:

Vs L
.289 26 19 78 74
Vs R
.281 34 13 56 88

Huh? I have no idea how that would have happened. It should be 63,490. Are the other ones ok? No idea how that would have happened.

Those are very similar to the numbers I used for him. That makes him good enough to be a big leaguer, but still a roll of the dice as far as long-term solutions go. Jimmy looked great last year, but he still has to prove he can do it every year.

Now if he wins 17 in real life this year, there will be hell to pay Greg!

LOL! But he DIDN'T look great last year, that's the thing. The guy let opponents hit, I believe, .278 against him...that's 20 POINTS above the NL average. The saying goes, sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. Luck runs out this year.

Too true. Jimmy was very lucky that his lineups produced for him last year. I wouldn't say his luck runs out this year though. One thing that OOTP can't model is Don Gullett's inert ability to take 'damaged goods' and turn them into Major League commodities.

<side note>
ARGH! My OOTP wife just popped out baby girl #4...I'm destined to retire to coach a girl's softball team!

<back on topic>
I don't see Mr. Haynes winning 15 again this season, but as long as Gullett has a hand in his coaching, don't expect him to go back to his old unreliable self.

GForce22..

GForce22..great work with the patch!! I have a question/problem that Im hoping you can help me with. I downloaed the V1 patch and have started my league and now I see you came out with V1.1 I would like to fix the ratings on Benson and Derek Lowe. The V1 patch had there ratings wrong and I know which the 1.1 patch their ratings are fixed. If you could just tell me what there correct ratings should be.. that would be great!

Thanks for the help!!

tusso,

there are more players added in v1.1 also, along with other things. Just something to think about.

As for Benson and Lowe
Code:
Benson
0.276	22	22	68	104 vs L
0.225	24	10	47	138 vs R
G	A	G	A	A

Lowe
0.265	26	12	42	115
0.241	24	11	41	127
G	G	G	G	G
If you want all ratings and adjustments made to guys in v1, download v1.1 and load it separately, export the .csv files, move them into your current league folder and then import them into the new folder. That should update all the ratings since the ID#s are the same and keep your league going. Just back it up first in case of error.

if you go to rosterdevelopmentgroup.com you can check out some of how the players ultimately developed over 3 years. This was before the latest ratings adjustments and not all player links work at this point. I'll fix that later. But you should be able to find some guys you're interested in now and how they have fared.
Just looked at Jesse Foppert, hot pitching prospect of the Giants. Suffered a shoulder injury in 2003 and missed the whole year. His ratings were hit and he's trying to get it back.
And check out Scott Kazmir...talk about injuries. Didn't realize he was set to prone. If anyone sees other young pitchers set to prone, let me know. The prone rating should be VERY rare.

Hey GForce, just wanted to let you know that Tim Kalita on the Tigers is still listed as not having a throwing arm (ouch?).

Looks like you hit ":" instead of "L".

Long Answer: David Cone last pitched for the Red Sox in 2001, and in 2002 was out of baseball. He might have pitched for Boston because of John Burkett's injury, and then maybe would've stuck when he came back, but he couldn't sign until May 1st - and by then Burkesuck was back.

Short Answer: Out last year, pitched for Boston in 01.
