Contracts in a Historical Season
Hi,
greets from Germany. Yesterday i startes a historical league (1901 with cleveland blues). Most of my players have one year contracts. when i made a new contract offer the players want very high contracts (bradley wants 40,000 in the next year). i think thats to much for my franchise. is it necessary to make new contract offers in a historical league ?

Is your league set up with the default 6 year free agency / 3 year arbitration ? $40,000 a year for Bradley in 1901 sounds a bit too high to me. In 1904 in my current league, the highest paid player is around $25,000, with the "superstar" salary (game setup / league setup tab / Rules tab)set at around $35,000, and Bradley is making about $16,000

Hmm, my League Setup is default, the Superstar Quality Player Setup is 30,560 Dollar. I dont understand why Bradley wants 40,000 Dollar.
