This is not a new league. I changed the name from UBL to GSBA because I don't want any of the UBL leagues to get mixed up.

We are headed into free agency for 2011. The league does not require that you have the game, but I do require that you be SOMEWHAT intelligent. A little baseball knowledge and you're in.

Bumperooski. We are at the trade deadline of the 2007 season. There are no teams open right now, but because now is a check-in period, several teams could become open very soon. Sign up and get on the waiting list. This is a fun league that only requires common sense.

The Detroit Tigers are now open.

The Detroit Tigers came off a bad 2007, but maintain a rich farm system that ranks #1 in the league.

The ChiSox are in need of a human manager who will rebuild this team, cursed with a high payroll, and low output.

Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs are open.

The Pirates are in a bit better shape than the Cubbies, but both teams are in need of GM's for overall league stability. We need great GM's just like you!

We are near the end of the 2009 year, with just playoffs to go.

A check-in is underway, so spots might become open.

Current Open Spots
Chicago White Sox (in League Administration, only take if you like losing :P)
San Diego Padres (81-81 last season, a lot of good players, just needs a more active GM who will make the necessary changes)

New York Yankees (High Talent, High Payroll, Low Performance)
Las Vegas 21's (Expansion team entering 3rd season, a bad contract in Jose Reyes, not a lot of potential. CURRENTLY UNDER LEAGUE ADMINISTRATION, will only give to vastly experienced GM)
Atlanta Braves (Decent team, good starting pitching, anemic offense)

We are currently in the offseason. Free Agency is first, then the draft, then Spring Training. The draft class on the site is not final, as I'm tweaking things.

Our commisioner packed his bags and left town, but left the league file.

So basically we are looking to fill the League Operater position. I'd hate to have this league killed because it was so active in it's hayday.

If anybody was looking to start one of these leagues using the older 6.5 game, we really would like a new commish.
