Looking for 8 logos - with a thanks in advance

If anyone is up to tackling this it would be greatly appreciated...

Looking for 8 logos for a solo league - It is the Transcontinental League - Based on the driving of the Golden Spike and the city the railroad passed through

The timeline is 1870's

I will leave the colors and team names to the creator (based on the previous timeline and "theme" - 1870's)

The teams are as follows:

Sacramento
Truckee (California)
Reno (Nevada)
Ogden (Utah)

Council Bluffs (Iowa)
Julesburg (Colorado)
Cheyenne (Wyoming)
Grand Island (Nebraska)

This league is based on teams being set local to train cities along this route for ease of transportation between cities for games.

A thanks in advance for anyone wanting to give these a shot

Here's Reno based on Knuckler's design. I'm learning how to create logos and decided to make my attempts potentially helpful.

Knuckler,

Please allow me to pick your brain. How do you make the letters C and B interlock? Is there a simple trick? I always spend far too much time fiddling with that sort of thing, and have never found a simple approach to it.

Thank you much.

I am not sure there is an easy way using PS. For the C-B above, I created the letters as separate layers, and gave them a black outline to match the background. Then I overlapped the B over the C. From there, I created a third layer, another C, where I cut out the part of the C that was beneath the B in the overlap. I then put that part of the C on top of the B layer and matched it up with the C below to give it the illusion. Of course, I doubt this really helps you much as it is probably the kind of thing you were already doing(if not a simpler way), but if it would help anyone I can explain it further or answer questions.

Here is a tutorial that may be of help to someone as well:

Much appreciated. It was the basic process I was using. I guess I'm just lazy.

Thank you for the kind words about the logos. It really does mean a lot to get feedback.

I hope you don't mind but I did not see a uni for Reno. Just thought I would do a quick one.

Great work knuckler: you not only designed some beautiful art here, but you inspired one of my league's members (BoofBonser26) to get involved in the design process! Always nice to see one good turn beget another.
