Just bought the game, need some help

I just the bought the game and when i launched it

i get this


ootp8.exe - Fata Application Exit


unable to open the user data folder ' Please reinstall Out of the Park Baseball


i have reinstalled 4 times and still get the above error


any help would be appreicated

try this thread, looks like the same error..

had the mydocuments folder located at a place other than where ootp looked for it....

looks like that is the problem

i have the data file in two locations

the big problem i cant figure it out

everytime i install it, it goes to two seperate locations

then what do i do, i try to move the one into the hard drive location

with no luck

one data files goes to mydocuments folder

the other goes the the hard drive oopt folder

can anyone help me

You can change where the data file goes in the "game preferences" section. Under custom user data path.

What kind of PC are you installing the game to? Is it on a network?

there is a network for my work useage


but i am at home right now and offline

when i try to install the game i get the message

I'm not an expert at this by any means, just another user, but it seems to me that the network must be the problem. Becasue of the network the game can't create it's data directory where it can get to it - that's my guess.
