So what happens once they're named, are they instantly suspended for a certain # of games? Have they said? |

It has nothing to do with the list on the Mitchell Report. Obviously, there will be quite an overlap, though.

So Roger Clemens' name has been floated around (and is on the list posted above). I wonder how this could affect his Hall of Fame chances. If Barry Bonds and Mark McGwire don't get in, I don't know how you could let other guys in who also are reported as taking performance enhancing drugs.

Here's another list floating around:
http://www.wnbc.com/sports/14845845/detail.html Correction -- 1 Red Sox .. Jason Varitek.

Besides Roger Clemens, Mo Vaughn, Jose Canseco, Manny Alexander (from the other list), etc. Yeah, no Red Sox. Definitely no Trot Nixon. Or Nomar.
Edit: AAHAHAHA that second list is even better. JOSE OFFERMAN. JOSE ****ING OFFERMAN! Edit 2: MARK PRIOR! KERRY WOOD! Yeah, those injuries were due to misuse.

If this list is accurate, he basically outed everyone who played a prominent role on the Red Sox from 1990-2000 except Pedro.

The best thing for Bonds is that now people can't use the excuse of baseball records to single him out. Clemens surely have a lot of records too. How about a bunch of asterisks for Clemens?

And there are a lot of arguments that pitchers are helped more than hitters, too.

If they decide to do something about Bonds' records, I have no problems with them doing the same with Clemens'. Kinda mute though because they won't do anything about either one.

Let's start the speculation game of Clemens started to use enhancement drugs after Dan Duquette said Clemens is near the twilight of his career.
Clemens hired Brian McNamee, who later sold steroids to Jason Grimsley, as a personal strength coach in 1997.

Good call on Brian, Skip:
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3153129 For the love of all things good, holy, and right in the world I hope Jeter/A Rod are on that list.

Why, so every Yankees fan can cry foul over the Mitchell/Red Sox connection?
