Will OOTP 4 allow for online leagues to trade draft picks? I realize it doesn't happen in MLB as much as it does in other sports, but it would be nice for online leagues that have active owners that are willing to trade picks

Pii,
Great idea, and timely too. Last night was the PSBL's trade deadline. I wish this feature had been in place; it would have simplified things for me a bit last night .

There's a Draft Utility out there, I think that Pierre made it, that let's you change the draft order and you can trade the picks this way. I think it's still avialable at StatBased Baseball.

Doesn't happen in real life MLB because Im pretty sure they can NOT deal them in Major League Baseball.

But you can use Pierre's draft order utility to help you out. You change it 1 round at a time and it works great. Definitely will save you a ton of time working duplicate trades because of a player for pick move.

I never understood why most leagues allow the trading of draft picks. MLB doesn't allow it and either should we. It takes away from the game and allows for teams (who are not run the right way or run by a fraud) to destroy it for a # of years. It should be a dead subject...

IMO it's one of the most fun parts about online league trades, the massive risk of trading a pick that may never pan out for an established player. |

Considering the state of MLB these days, I wouldn't necessarily say it's a good thing to do things the same way they do...

Also I think one of the reasons MLB doesn't allow it has to do with sandwich picks that teams recieve due to losing players due to free agency.
