Talk about injury prone

All these players are in their early to mid-20s, with the exception of Foster. This is the same team that saw many young players lose their talents for no particular reason. A few years removed from that, we've morphed into a winner. My comments in italics.

Quote:
Friday, August 16th, 1912
B. Sweeney was injured while running the bases. The Diagnosis: Tight Back Muscle. He's expected to miss about 2 weeks. My 3B.

Thursday, August 15th, 1912
R. Downey was injured while running the bases. The Diagnosis: Tender Knee Tendon. He's expected to miss about 2 weeks. My RFer again.

Monday, August 12th, 1912
A. Butler was injured being hit by a pitch. The Diagnosis: Bruised Chin. This is a day-to-day injury expected to last 5 days. The 2B I promoted to replace Miller.

Saturday, August 10th, 1912
C. Milan was injured on a defensive play. The Diagnosis: Damaged Knee Ligament. He's expected to miss about 2 months. My stud LFer who has a career line of .357/.413/.424 in six seasons including 1912, one of which was shortened to 33 games due to injury.

Friday, August 9th, 1912
A. Foster was injured while pitching. The Diagnosis: Strained Tricep Muscle. He's expected to miss about 4-5 weeks. My ace.

Tuesday, August 6th, 1912
J. Rogan was injured while pitching. The Diagnosis: Strained Tricep Muscle. He's expected to miss about 3 weeks. The #3 pitcher again

Friday, July 19th, 1912
S. Wood was injured while pitching. The Diagnosis: Ruptured Rotator Cuff Muscle. He's expected to miss about 8 months. My #2 pitcher.

Thursday, July 11th, 1912
H. Wilson was injured while pitching. The Diagnosis: Tight Tricep Muscle. He's expected to miss about 2 weeks. My #5 pitcher.

Sunday, June 23rd, 1912
J. Rogan was injured while pitching. The Diagnosis: Tight Shoulder Muscle. This is a day-to-day injury expected to last 2 weeks. My #3 pitcher.

Saturday, June 1st, 1912
R. Downey was injured while running the bases. The Diagnosis: Tight Calf Muscle. He's expected to miss about one week. My starting RFer.

Friday, May 31st, 1912
D. Miller was injured in a collision at a base. The Diagnosis: Fractured Eye Socket. He's expected to miss about 7-8 months. My 25 year old second baseman. The resulting talent drops have pretty much ended his career.
My pitching staff currently consists of my #4 and #5 starters with a Triple-A call-up and my swingman/emergency starter.

We finished the season in 5th place, 6.5 games back. It was our worst season since 1907.

The AI and I seem to go through streaks. I'll have a year where it does absolutely nothing to me, then a year where everyone loses talent, then a year or two of regular usage, then a year of massive injuries, then a year of nothing, etc., etc.

That's not all that is after you. I have reported you to OSHA. You obviously have an unhealthy work environment.

Seems like a lot until you really look at it. Only Wood and Miller suffered monsteros injuries. The rest are fairly routine stuff. I reordered them based on severity. If this was your entire season's injury list you probably got off fairly cheaply.

It wasn't the whole season, I just felt like it was a lot in one stretch. The rest of the year saw a few minor injuries of a few days to 2/3 weeks, but nothing more. I was really only reacting to that 10 day stretch in August when five guys went on the DL and all were important to my team.
