Put payroll above sal cap?

I have a small problem. I seem to be unable to extend the contracts of ANY players. I can be 3 mil under the salary cap, and resign a guy to a 4 year 1.2 mil contract, and it will tell me I that I "can't afford that deal" or "This will put your payroll above the salary cap". It doesn't seem to make any sense, and I have been unable to extend any of my players contracts throughout my manager career because of this. Any ideas?

Nevermind, I did a little research and saw that this is already reported as a major MAJOR bug. I'll just up the Salcap for now so I can resign players. Ouch...
