Runtime Error when creating Custom league

I have had no other problems playing this game, however, I wanted to create a custom team, featuring cities from my local area. I filled out all the info on the league structure menu that pops up when you choose Custom League option from the main menu when you load up, and, as soon as I hit the Generate League button, this pops up:

Did you delete ANY files and or leagues?

What is your league alignment?

Yes I did delete a couple of test leagues I had created.

Scott,

League Alignment is :
1 League
2 Divisions
6 teams per division
12 total teams.

Need any more info? THX

You didn't delete the "career2003.lg" did you?

Yes, I believe that I did.. was that a mistake? I never saw it anywhere mentioned...

Game won't work properly w/o it, install the game in another directory and copy that league back into your folder.
