You want to continue a tradition of getting your face punched in? I would figure you would want to try and start winning instead.

Give them ex-Mitt Slingers a chance to land in Chicago first. But on the other hand........I guess he needs to be broke in right from the git-go and you're the man for the job.

I'm still trying to get caught up around here but it looks like I'll get everything updated in the UTBA by the end of this weekend or Monday. I've heard back from 15 owners already so it looks like the UTBA re-start could happen right after Thanksgiving when I return from Boulder, Colorado (Nebraska/Colorado football game).
I'll post some sort of re-cap here Tuesday from our action in week 1 and the action that took place in week 2 before the league went into hibernation before we square off again. |

Hey now how about that Louisville football team. Now there is a defensive juggernaut for you. As for your Indy team they are killing me in fantasy football. See if you can get a call in to Marvin and Dallas and tell there asses to start playing.

Defense? What is that? Of course being a Notre Dame fan also I have no clue about how to block for the run or the pass either.
But hey it's basketball season now and Eric Gordon on IU scored 33 points in his first ever game!!! |

My thoughts about the off season is to fire the O-Line coach and hire an actual Offensive Coordinator. If he has a losing record next year then he needs to be gone. What everyone needs to remember is that ND didn't schedule a bunch of D1AA schools and St. Mary's school of the blind for their first 5 games like Ohio St. did. So the young kids didn't have a chance to build their confidence. Makes a big difference. |

I was not a Weiss fan when they brought him in but you are right some changes need to be made. They really have been brutal on offense and their schedule finally caught up with them this year. With that said Navy and Air Force are not super powers which has made this year even worse. I think Charlie gets 2 more years to see what his players can deliver and then he is gone if things don't turn around.

UTBA Update
Posted is the schedule with links for what has happened in the first week of season 5 and results for half of week 2.
In the Gold: TC Dale and his Fightin' WildKats have staked the early lead in the East Division and lead by 9 points. With a win already in the second week.....look for them to stay in first. Central Division, the Bears Unstable lead by 20 points over the Barbarians. Both teams have already completed action in week 2. Look for both of these teams to fight it out for the Central crown when it comes to their head-to-head matches this season. West Division, Repeat of last season so far, Tomato City, Muckboys........1 - 2. Tomato City leads the division by 5 points. Silver Conference: North Division, Hebron Haymakers lead the division by 5 points over 420th Street Gym and by 6 points over Iceteaboxing. Midwest Division, Undisputed Champions have jumped out to a big lead over the second place Oakland Assassins and lead by 12 points after just one week. South Division, After one week, this division looks like a 4-team shootout for the divisional crown. Punching Bags lead right now by 6 points over Chilton Roughnecks & Juggernaut and by 7 over the MexiVilles. It's to early to tell about this division race yet. UTBA: SEASON FIVE SCHEDULE Schedule includes the play-offs (Winner highlighted in blue) Click on any team match and it will link you to the bout results for the match. The Dublin Guards @ Bonner Springs Bald Beavers (36-40) Left Jab Inc. @ Fightin' WildKats (34-49) Muckboys @ Stockholm's Finest (45-40) Tomato City @ Till Hill Top Team (50-32) 420th Street Gym @ Chilton roughnecks (48-32) Hebron Haymakers @ Juggernaut (52-32) Iceteaboxing @ MexiVilles (46-31) The Nobodies @ Punching Bags (37-38) Antwerp Southpaws @ Bears Unstable (36-55) Windy City Wizards @ Brazilian Barbarians (36-45) Oakland Assassins @ Cawkney Crusaders (47-36) Undisputed Champions @ Hoosier Playboys (59-23) WEEK TWO Bears Unstable @ The Dublin Guards (47-37) Brazilian Barbarians @ Left Jab Inc (48-37) Antwerp Southpaws @ Muckboys (29-56) Windy City Wizards @ Tomato City (27-61) Cawkney Crusaders @ 420th Street Gym (35-41) Hoosier Playboys @ Hebron Haymakers (38-47) Oakland Assassins @ Iceteaboxing Undisputed Champions @ The Nobodies Stockholm's Finest @ Bonner Springs Bald Beavers Tile Hill Top Team @ Fightin' Wilcats Mexivilles @ Chilton Roughnecks Punching Bags @ Juggernaut I've heard back from all but 3 owners: (Icetea, lethal liberal, and Cube) I finished updating the rosters and draft pool. I'll make the final checks against what I've posted and the database tonight to make sure everything is correct. If you find any problems with your roster.....LET ME KNOW! Looks like if everything checks out on my end tonight, I'll resume week 5 of the UTBA Monday(November 19) and finish it by Tuesday night(November 20) and open the Free Agent waiver wire over the holiday. I'll be gone during Thanksgiving till late Saturday night(November 24). I'll use Sunday(November 25) to catch up on any FA waiver requests I received and start week 6 Monday(November 26) or Tuesday(November 27). Last edited by SAL; 11-18-2007 at 06:25 PM. |

Most boring division in the UTBA. We don't have the firepower to keep up with Dave's boys to make the race for the division title too interesting while the Guardsmen and Left Jab are both a year or two from contending.
