New historical league beginning in 1980 set to kick off

We are getting ready to open the doors to this brand new historical league, America's Pastime Baseball League. My name is Brandon and I am the Commissioner of the APBL.

We are currently looking to fill GM vacancies of the league and are looking for good, active GM's to start this league off right. If you may be interested, visit http://apbl.allsimbaseball2.com and check out the site. There isn't a league file posted yet, as I am currently finishing it up. The league file should be posted tomorrow (Thursday) evening or Friday morning at the latest, but feel free to bump around the site and check things out. The rules are posted so if you need any info start there. Also, I can be reached at apbloffice@yahoo.com or AIM commishapbl if you have any questions or if you are ready to join, and of coarse you can post here in the forums. I will be checking the thread frequently

The league will be looking to start as soon as we fill the vacancies (approx. 1 week, depending on the recruiting).

So don't miss out on the chance to get in new, fresh league and be the first to own a team in the APBL.

OK, here is the email I received from Fidel (webhost)......

Unfortunately, I will have to take the server down for at least a day in order to weed out some malicious code that was intended to bring down some of your sites. Fortunately I have found it early but it will take some very deep cleaning and the possibility of the server being down for as many as 72 hours is a real possibility. Your website is completely safe and I will notify you when everything is back up. I deeply regret the downtime and the inconvenience but I think it prudent to be honest in my assessment of the job. I will be on AIM in the next 30 minutes(8:30am EST) to answer any questions of concerns you have.

Thanks....The league is brand new, rules aren't set in stone (yet), we could always hold a vote and see what happens

I think you should keep it a 1980's league, that's what got me to join. 2007 is ok, but it's boring when you can have an entire lineup that can hit 30+ hr's, which is what you usually get in most the roster sets I've used once you get around the juiced ball era.

There's still plenty of spots open in this league. This is a great league for anyone who grew up during the 80's. Boggs, Gwyn, Mattingly, Henderson, Gooden, Clemens, etc.
