Border States League logo request

I'm looking for some concepts/help for my fictional Border States League main logo. There are 8 teams located in two states: Kentucky & Tennessee. The logo doesn't necessarily have to include both states, but I'm certainly open to a design like that. I am looking for a modern-looking design. Color scheme is open.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
