Another Newbie question

Is there anyway to bring up a MR's Endurance?

And if a Pos player has no rating at a certain Pos, can you keep him in the minors to learn?

Thx again in advance?

Same screen as every other positional rating - the regular player profile screen. Pitchers get one endurance rating - it's up to you (and the AI) how they are used. If you want to use a 1 endurance guy as a starter, feel free. Just don't expect him to last long.

Yes. They will also learn in the bigs, but they'll kill your defense while learning. Spring Training is a good time to get the basics down.

I think he's asking if there's any way to increase a pitcher's Endurance, and there is not, as far as I know. Endurance will sometimes increase by small amounts, but it seems to be random when it happens. If you have an RP with 'borderline' endurance (49/100, or 9 or 10/20), there is a chance that someday his Endurance will increase above the 'magic number' (half of maximum), which will let him become a useful starter. Otherwise, he won't go more than three innings before getting very tired.

As for position ratings, it's a bit complex in OOTP. If a guy doesn't have certain minimum ratings at the defense ratings (Range, Error, Arm, etc), he'll never get a rating at difficult positions like SS or 2B. The overall rating that you see next to each position is just to give you a rough idea of how good someone will be there, and combines a player's component ratings (Range, etc) with a hidden Experience rating, that goes up the more a player plays at a certain position. Still, it's the Range, Error, Arm and hidden Experience rating that determine what happens in the game. Component fielding ratings don't ever seem to increase much in the game, though they do go down, sometimes drastically, as a player gets old. Long story short, if you draft a guy who is a 1B and has minimal infield range and arm, it would not be a good idea to convert him to SS.
