Online league to solo league

Is there any way to convert what was previously an online league to a solo league and transfer the file to a different computer? Like, if, hypothetically, you got really into a cool league and then the commish hypothetically totally flaked out on it and hypothetically his name was Hotblack Desiato?

I suppose you could ask the hypothetically totally flaked out commish hypothetically really nice if he would make a copy of the league and un-password protect it for you, but I think you might hypothetically be beyond that point now.

I'm sure it's possible to blank out the commish password (obviously I won't explain how to here if it does work), but as I'm not up on the whole how online leagues work I don't know what files are used etc, and whether the structure is different for an online one.

I may download a full league file from one of these sites and see if it's possible to convert it to solo play.

Back in the day, a mod made by "Pierre" would allow you to turn the commish mode on and off. I imagine that's been fixed to not work now, though. The biggest issue though may be simply finding that mod now, I don't think he even does OOTP anymore.

I am not sure how it works exactly. I never used it.....I know about from my days as a league commish.

Hey, dude. I thought for a minute and realized I knew "All Sim Baseball" had some "Pierre" mods on his site.
Now, I am not sure if any of these are what you need. However, I would guess "Peirre's Career Editor 6.0.2.1 Patch", which is the 7th one down, if I am counting correct. The rest don't sound like much help.

It can be done with OOTP2007. I don't know if Pierre's utilities work on 2007 as I remember that name from OOTP6.5

Anyway, I downloaded as a test the World Baseball Hierarchy League file, and set the Commish Password to nothing, then logged in as user "Honored(sic) Guest" and clicked the Commissioner button on Manager Options and it didn't ask me for a password, so I deleted the other manager and now it's playing like a solo game.

Without revealing how to people here, you may want to pass this on to Markus to let him know how easily you got around it. If you could do it that quickly, I'm sure there are those who would use that to cheat.

Because it's not something I do, what happens when an online manager fiddles with his team, what gets sent back to the commish when a player exports - if I exploited this in an online league and upped my players ratings and then exported back to the commish wouldn't the game pick up that my player ratings were out of sync with all the other players' uploads?

It's not that you'd necessarily change anything, but you could get around the limitations imposed by scouts. You could log in, turn off scouts, run a SISA rescout, and get accurate ratings for everyone, giving you a pretty big advantage.

I don't play in online leagues, so I don't know what things individual owners normally can't do. Maybe some roster moves could be made by turning rules off and on?
