This has been tried many times and Markus has made his decision and will let you know when he is done with OOTP 2007 most likely, not guarantees though because I'm not Markus.

Thanks for the unofficial update. I know you have posted basically the same thing in several threads. Thanks for taking the time.

I concur that I would like a new ITP, I know this won't change anything, but just throwing it out there that I hope that this franchise is continued

I'm still here always checking/hoping for info on a new game. I was actually thinking that I would like ITP to be sold to Wolverine studios who is looking for a new game to develope. Just my thought because anything that can get a new ITP made, makes me happy.

I've been around OOTP for over two years and never thought to come over here to look at ITP until today. I just bought the game because the concept is very interesting and I wanted to see what it was like. Knowing MH's standards, I think it will be good; the one knock on it that I am aware of after reading a couple of reviews is re-playability. As GameSpot's says, "the appeal of portraying a rookie with big-league dreams and the solid stat-generation of the OOTP engine make the experience captivating for a few virtual seasons [italics added]." Still, it looks like it's worth $19.95; the screenshot of what goes on in Fiddlers Sports Bar sealed the deal for me.

I enjoyed the demo and I'm showing my support for a new version by buying the game. I am having a blast going through my first pitching career. This really is a fine implementation of an outstanding idea. A fine job by Markus and Co.

Those of you that just found the game will soon realize that it a wonderful game for how incomplete it is, knowing the abilities of this company with a little more effort a second version of this could be incredible, I keep hoping that people finding it supporting it will lead to some more development into this concept as it is an incredible concept

I think best option would be for it to be part of the new OOTP 9 game, with either them adding it, or allowing for some community modder to add it to game, just my two cents, ive been begging for new game for years now

I had played the demo a long time ago and loved it, and now that I've switched computers I've discovered it again and I'm loving it again. However, for a game this old I'm not quite convinced to buy it when it's $20 - but I would absoloutely, positively love and defenitely buy a new version. The game is already great albeit it does have it's few little kinks, but with all these years between the games, I'm sure a new game would be amazing. Here's to a new ITP soon!
I'll drink to that... |

I would buy a new version of this game in a split second.
Some changes I would like to see made are as follows: 1. Get rid of the equipment purchases that add to skills, its too hard to suspend disbelief that a batting glove is really going to improve a hitter. Instead add personal trainers, doctors, lawyers, investments, houses, and more on the girlfriend thing. Make it an objective of the game to accumulate wealth, maybe even allow us to select charities to donate to when we accumulate this wealth. Have an extensive list of monthly expenses to balance out our monthly statements. When we hit it big let us make bids on winter homes in Florida or Hawaii, go to numerous car dealerships, take vacations, etc. 2. Have more detailed contract negotiations, and allow a negotiation for an initial contract upon drafting. 3. Allow an option to select a random skill point generation so that we do not always have a player with the same basic skill level. 4. Add/improve stadium visuals. 5. Add a player editor so we can create and modify the precise player we want. 6. Award endorsement offers and contracts for various products. 7. Give our players some personality. Maybe allow us to select among some detailed traits that may get us in trouble or allow us to overachieve our talent level.

better limited time, than none at all, which is what game sequal has gotten thus far, i wish i had the skills to do something, there are so many ways this game could be improved, and become a money maker!
i just wish Markus would give game a chance, and ad its option to OOTP 9, dream i little dream i guess |
