Tom,

I will watch some of the games on NHK-BS, the channel I am sure you will be able to watch on most of the hotel TV. (You should make sure the hotel has NHK-BS set up, before you make reservations) I am pretty sure they will show you all the games that involve rither Matsui or Matsuzaka.

I am afraid NHK-BS will not show all the playoff games, so I will be forced to watch the games on MLB.com. (However, we will not be able to watch any games live, as we have blackouts. I will have to wait until the games are over...)

The final and forbidden way to watch the games would be to trying one of the streaming services, such as Sopcast. I am pretty sure it is illegal, so I personally do not watch them, but I am sure you can google "sopcast" and will be able to find out about it)

Good luck, and have a good trip!
(If you have trouble finding a way to watch the games, feel free to contact me via private message!)

I think Mr. Farnsworth himself is thinking the same thing as you do right now...

Japanese media is saying that Kei Igawa is gonna start for tomorrow's game instead of Clemens...
In an interview, Igawa even told the Japanses media that he was told so by the team.

I checked on mlb.com, and it says Clemens is starting tomorrow.

I hope mlb.com is right about this.

If there are any questions at all about Clemens' hamstring, sit him. Make sure he's fresh and rested for the playoffs. I wouldn't mind seeing Igawa throwing tomorrow at all.

Well, no disrespect to Mr. Igawa, but this could be the Yankees lining up their pitching staff for the playoffs and saving the oldsters and aces for when it really is important. I hope Igawa does well. Unlike F********h, he did not compound his troubles by blaming others, and unlike P****o, he appears to be still trying and giving his best effort every time.

Being a life long Angel fan, I'm pulling for a Yankees-Angels first round. Yankees just can't beat us and I want more of the same.

Here's an article about the state of Yankee pitching. It starts with the idea of making Chamberlain a reliever for the rest of his career (a waste IMO), but it delves into other areas later on...

I don't know who I want. The Indians in a 5 game series would be BRUTAL!

Seriously, nothing will be finer than Yanks-Sox in the ALCS. For both teams, the others are . . . impediments.

I'll be at the Trop tonight for first game of series.

It's always fun to have the Bomber's in the house.

There should be an AL playoff to determine the AL Champion, an NL playoff to determine the NL Champion. They both play a series against each other and then play the winner of the ESPN Championship Series (set in stone to be Red Sox v Yankees) to determine the World Series champion.

Wait, let me get this straight. You are proposing that the Red Sox and Yankees meet in the World Series?

Hmm . . .
These are my immediate reactions, in order:

I would not mind seeing Chamberlin become the closer of the future.

I'm beginning to think the Yanks are really considering the same thing

I sure as heck mind. What I want to see is Boston winning about 30 games a season each year and beating whatever record the Cubs set for consecutive numbers of decades without any WS title.

It was almost a victory in itself when Igawa got out of that first...

Another 4 or 5 runs and I'll feel safe...

Score: 5-0

Now, now, guys. Joe's taking a strategic position; he's got his eyes on the real prize.

It don't matter how you get to the dance as long as you get to dance, with the right woman. Or something.

That said, sure, let's win the division if we can. I really want to say "Ten-peat" and mean it. I don't care if it rhymes or not!
