Pro-Circuit returns!
- League Name: Pro-Circuit
- League URL: http://www.outoftheparkleagues.com/PCCircuit - League type: Historical Fictional (currently in 1908) - Number of teams: 16 - OOTP version: 2007 In what many of us considered one of the best online simulation baseball leagues around, the Pro-Circuit returns, now using OOTP 2007. Mark Cooley, founder of Pro-Circuit and I discussed the idea of bringing the league back (after I bugged him over and over about it) and Mark gave me his blessings to take the PC file from OOTP 6.12 and move it to OOTP 2007. Mark will be managing his St. Louis Sallies dynasty while I will be taking over the commissioner duties. If you were an owner in Pro-Circuit, please contact me at huskerdan25@msn.com or contact me on AIM at HuskersRule25. I want to give those who were owners when Mark folded the league a chance to return to managing their teams before opening up the league to new owners. A number of the email addresses on the league owner page don't seem to work anymore so I hope the owners who have new email addresses and were owners in the league will see this post and contact me to let me know if they want to continue in the league. The league is as it was before it shut down with just a couple of changes including financials being turned on since OOTP 2007 supports more realistic salaries and contracts for the deadball era. Previous owners, please contact me. Once I have an idea of what teams may be available for new owners, if any, I will post those openings here and allow people to join. This league has history going back to its first season, 1895, and I look forward to making this league a great league again. Dan Pro-Circuit Commissioner

Its true. I said no to Dan asking me if I was bringing the league back so many times, that I finally IMed him saying that if HE wanted to bring it back, he'd have my blessings.
For those who were around during v5 and v6, The Circuit was a great league that began in 1895 with 12 teams with realistic settings, no financials, and a realistic name file that I created. Over the years, Des Moines' Derbies, the Peoria Distillers, Providence Ruby Legs and Dayton's Gems were added. The character of this league was unmatched, IMO. The 126 game schedule forced me to learn lots of things about OOTP and how to speed up development and slow down aging due to the shortened schedule. What came of it was a great little league where the players had character and stories of the old time players sprang to life. Here's to hoping that every former owner comes back. That group was a crew indeed and we had fun talking about everything from Cleveland's Independents (Indies) to Harrisburg's Rubes, to the Sallies of St. Lou. Best of luck with this Dan! I'm so proud to see the Circuit live again! Last edited by Cooleyvol; 08-12-2007 at 07:40 PM. |

Hey Dan, I was the Cleveland owner in PC, and I'll reply here rather than to your e-mail. Count me in. I just have to know what becomes of Hiram Webber's career.
I used to pester Mark about PC too, so I'm glad someone finally got through to him.

I'm back. I have to see if Daniel Lee can become the all-time HR champion and if I can actually return the team to their glory days.

I'm ready to open up PC Circuit to new owners now that I have gotten responses on returning owners. The following teams are available and you can scout the available teams if interested. Just email me at huskerdan25@msn.com with the following information and the teams you would want in priority order:
Name: Email (for league use): AIM id: OOTP Experience: The teams that are available are: Boston Elites Buffalo Merchants Dayton Gems New York Perfectos Providence Ruby Legs Ft. Wayne Wonders Louisville Luckies Peoria Distillers Please only contact me if you are serious about being an active participant. PC Circuit has 10+ seasons under it's belt and this is Mark Cooley's baby so I want to make sure the ownership group is stable and active. Website: http://www.outoftheparkleagues.com/PCCircuit Dan

Emails received and I will be responding to them shortly. Hang tight and we'll get some teams assigned. I'll update the available list after assigning some teams.

Kevin Jones is not coming back to Boston? I really enjoyed him.
Wow, how did I remember the name of the owner of a team after this long. |

Please hold up on filling Boston. I can't imagine Kevin not wanting to come back. He's the only guy who ever ran the Elites.
