Perfect game in Spring Training

I sim through each day of ST and this one came up, where my A's shut out the D-Rays and gave up no hits.

Examining the box score showed this

It's actually a perfect game.

27 up and 27 down.

Of course since it's ST the AI Manager pulled the starter after 4 innings, but it's still pretty cool. Notice how the CPU Manager for Tampa didn't pinch hit for anybody.

Not sure if I think there should have been a news item for this accomplishment, but there wasn't.

I have seen this happen also in one of the millions of games that I have simmed.

Spring training news (less injuries) do not make the news, which is fine by me, but I am sure someone, somewhere would complain about that!

WOW - that is nice way to get the team going. I agree that a news item for this - even in spring training - would seem appropriate.

*** If nothing else, at least make a news item for your team even if it is not listed as a league wide news item ***

I wouldn't want news stories in preseason to be saved. After simming through 80 years of a league, loading times are long enough already. Spring Training is what it is. Just training. If the Devil Rays went 26-3 in Spring, they'd likely still struggle to break 70 wins in the regular season.

Team No-hitters/Perfect games (at least 2 pitchers are used by the team), are never recorded in the news even during regular season.
